  1. Loe's going to earn his pay and his job as 8th inning man right here. Heart of the order
  2. Only problem with Braddock here is that means Loe in the 8th as usual. It should be ok though as after Morrison, Dobbs is the only real LH bat.
  3. I think it's a great sign though that our guys put Yo in the position to win a game he should've never trailed to begin with. This is the kind of stuff that can really help build a successful team, even though it's impossible to quantify.
  4. We just seem to keep finding their gloves unfortunately. Braun smoked that one too.
  5. Seriously, Casey McGehee is quickly becoming disliked.
  6. A lot of hard hit balls right at guys tonight. Problem is, we might not get many more looks at Volstad.
  7. Good quick inning there for Yo. Needed that to get him deeper into the game. Come on Yo, get the offense started yourself!
  8. When BA mentioned Casey might be hurt, looking at his hand after his at bat, did anyone else have a short thought that it might not be the worst thing in the world for this team right now if he was to go on the DL? We don't have another good option per se, but it would force Nyjer into the 2 hole and Hart to 5 every day and Counsell/Wilson platoon batting 8th but with above average defense. We might actually be a bit better for a while. Never would have said that before the year started.
  9. We needed a win like that. As painful as giving up the lead was early, it's equally as good or better to see this team come from behind late on the road. That's what your stud is supposed to do... Thanks Braun!
  10. Interesting... walking the winning run on base. Buck has hit the ball hard tonight too. Hope this works out
  11. Flip Cameron and McGehee and I'm in complete agreement with this lineup. Counsell can play 1 day per week at 2b, SS and 3b to keep everyone fresh and add a lot of value off the bench on the days he doesn't start.
  12. I, for one, would love it if the Minnesota Twins would listen to Carlos Gomez and move to a different hotel. Definitely don't want to change your routine when you've dominated a team like they have. If they switch hotels, the Brewers would be guaranteed a sweep when they come to town.
  13. I actually have a fairly good feeling about tonight. It has nothing to do with the lineup though. This just seems like the type of game the Brewers might actually show up for. Nothing more than a hunch. Then again, maybe I'm just finding ways to convince myself that this team can't be as bad as it seems! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  14. I have had a problem with Macha's bullpen decisions from day one this year. I anticipated this was going to be a loss as soon as Villanueva came in. I just don't understand why he doesn't put Difelice in these higher leverage situations when Coffey is not available. Then to bring in Coffey later just amazing. If he was available then, why not before? Great start for Parra. The bright side is we need him to look good for the rest of the year. Unfortunately, we can't keep finding ways to lose if we have a chance in 2009.
  15. The part that was so frustrating to me was this comment from Melvin: "They didn't say the hitters weren't doing their job. He's hitting in front of one of the best hitters (Prince Fielder) in the game." This makes me feel like Melvin is slapping Braun in the face and saying that Fielder is the reason Braun is so good. I just don't see what good can come of these comments from any GM. Not saying I agree with Braun going public either but Melvin is coming off as a little trite here. Hopefully this all goes away today when they meet.
