  1. Unless there’s a typo, we didn’t have the 800k from Fischer’s undershot?

  3. According the BA database (https://www.baseballamerica.com/draft-results/), DeBerry signed for 25K.
  4. FWIW, both Bitonti and Pratt have “Brewers” listed on their IG profiles. Take that with a grain of salt.

  6. I also think Freddy Peralta has to be getting close to top 100 prospect area with the start to his season.
  7. Oh surprise, surprise Khris Davis got brought. He has hit the most homers in the majors over the last two years and still has a negative WAR. Edit: I meant negative defensive WAR. He played 40 percent of his games as DH.
  8. Being the prospectnik I am, I follow BrewerProspects on Twitter (highly suggest giving it a follow). Because of the the videos he's posted, I thought it would be interesting to rate people's favorite pitches that prospects in the system have. Jon Perrin for instance, despite not being ranked in the top 25 BF prospects but he has a filthy slider. I don't have a list just yet but I wanted to see if there was interest in it.
  9. Thanks as always colby; good info. Any way Faedo makes a fall to us in the Comp A round?
  10. Thanks colby; why the fall for Faedo?

  12. I'd love it if Alex Faedo fell to the Brewers at 9.
  13. I guess the way they look at it (and putting aside my personal feelings about Chapman), they are going to be playing a lot of seven inning games this year with him and Betances at the back end of that bullpen.

Nottingham I absolutely love how difficult making this list was. I am even more curious to see where this system is next August 1st. I feel like a few moves are going to be made this winter that should also add to the prospect deck. Taylor Williams and Nathan Kirby(coming back from injury), Zack Brown, Mario Feliciano, Gabriel Garcia and the Texas PTBNL are going to be guys who might shoot up lists next year. That isn't mentioning McClanahan and Stokes who I think have a good chance of making names for themselves. Love where this system is going.
  17. I do not believe Suter is a prospect who is being overlooked because I do not think he is much of a prospect. He has never struck out enough guys. I've seen some comparisons to Fiers, but that is a red herring because if you look at Fiers' career MiLB numbers, he struck out more than a batter per inning every year but one and Suter has never come close to that. Do I want him to be great? Of course, he plays for the Brewers but to call him the best prospect in our system is lunacy.
  18. On milb.com, it looks like he is pitching the second game of the doubleheader. Never mind, it looks like it is incorrect.
  19. Thanks for the information on the process wildcat. Very illuminating and much, much appreciated.
  20. That is all true about loading up on hitting. However, two crucial things happened to their rotation: they got Arrieta in huge buy-low trade (then fixed him by moving him back to the third base side of the rubber when the Orioles wouldn't let him) and being able to sign Lester a monstrous contract.
  21. The only addendum I would add BuckyBrewer61 is our complete inability to develop starting pitching prospects.
  22. I think the real question is if any of three are worse than Ubaldo Jimenez?
  23. I feel like the Indians wanted Stearns and Co. to do that. That's why Stearns seems to be getting a lot of the blame from the nat'l guys, i.e. Rosenthal and Olney. P.S. The only part that frustrates me about the veto is that Lucroy/agent said it was because they weren't guaranteed the starting catcher role (or another role which was discussed earlier) when it definitely seems to have been more about money. Which I have no problem with; it was in the contract. Just be upfront about it being about money.
