  1. Angel Ventura is having a pretty damn good season apart from one lousy appearance. Good thing some of these fringe prospects are doing well because most of the big name guys are doing squat so far.
  2. If we draft a high school lefty, I would love it if we grabbed Joe Wentz out of Kansas. Callis had some great things to say about him.
  3. Saw a tweet from Keith Law tonight about DS being in Kansas to check out Pint.
  4. After reading Chris Crawford's draftbook, I still like Quantrill (if a clean bill of health) and Lowe at number 5.
  5. TC07 thanks for the response. What do you think of the Brewers taking a gamble on a guy like Keegan Thompson with the Comp B pick?
  6. I think I got scared off by the hit tool and I had to go back and re-read the reports about Reed. I guess the comparison wasn't fair but I don't like an OF with a questionable hit tool.
  7. My problem with Reed, and maybe it's not fair, is that when I read his scouting report I think Roache.
  8. Based on what I have read, I have no problem with Quantrill at 1.5 at all.
  9. Thanks for the info TPlush. He'd be great in the third round for us then.
  10. UWW has more than just Bachar, that's about as interesting a pitching staff as D3 gets. I only brought him up because I read he was recognized as the best player in his summer league by BA and the write-up on his stuff was intriguing.
  11. I'm on the Lowe bandwagon at number 5. Colby, I'd be curious what you think of Bachar at UW-Whitewater. Read some good reports about him.
  12. How about that Hobbs Johnson?
  13. I thought I read during his year last year at Wisconsin that Cravy had pretty good stuff. Maybe I'm wrong.
  14. Tyler Cravy has been pitching pretty great since he start pitching out of the rotation. I know he is a little old for High-A but I wonder if things just clicked for him as his K ratio has gone up while the walks and ERA have gone down; so it doesn't seem fluky.
  15. Roache's night is exactly what I needed to forget about the Big League club for a while.
  16. Different from what you guys are talking about but I don't think there has been a time in my adult life where I have actively avoided sports related pages where I could see anything about this. At least I know where to point all the blame. I think in this period of time, it would help Braun if he had complete transparency.
  17. To pile on the good news.... I think it is a Gian Rizzo night tonight.
  18. Like I said, I think that they are drafting and signing the younger guys in the last few drafts. I'm just greedy and wish I could forwarded to see the development faster.
  19. As much as I like the fact that we seem to drafting younger guys, but geez, it can get frustrating following our farm system.
  20. I think they should stick Coulter in RF. I know we already have a surplus of OFs in Helena and Wisconsin, but that's what the Royals did with Wil Myers and he absolutely took off. Just my two cents. P.S. I'm not saying Coulter is going to be the next Myers, I just think the comparison fits.
  21. I'm hoping the Brewers can get Seidenberger and Miller signed and we can call it a pretty successful haul, in my opinion.
  22. Jimmy Nelson Tyrone Taylor Johnny Hellweg Orlando Arcia Clint Coulter Victor Roache Mitch Haniger Ariel Pena Taylor Jungmann Tyler Thornburg Hunter Morris Scooter Gennett Devin Williams Hiram Burgos Damien Magnifico Jed Bradley Drew Gagnon Jorge Lopez Tyler Wagner Michael Reed Chris McFarland David Goforth Nick Ramirez Gian Rizzo Yadiel Rivera
  23. I didn't know where to put this but I read a snippet of Keith Law's post on ESPN about Miguel Sano and at the bottom he had thoughts about Cameron Garfield; "...his bat is slow, he's not a good receiver at all, and he's repeating the league at age 21." Just thought it was interesting as he seems to have had a good year and isn't too old for the league.
