    I just meant that Stearns was planning on having a more athletic outfield (with Liriano and Flores) but it hasn't worked out. As a sum of their parts they had the potential to be better than Davis, Liriano was a top-100 prospect in 2014. I think 2015 would indicate the highest OBP Davis will ever have and I don't think that is what Stearns is looking for.

    Doesn't matter what Stearns does Boomer5, you'll probably pan it. I don't get your fascination with Oakland trade.

    Well, a lot of people got their wish. Lucroy vetoed this trade. If we don't do any better, there a lot of people who should eat crow. It takes two to trade and if that Cleveland trade was the best that was offered, what could he do? He could've done much, much worse than what Cleveland offered (looking at you Mets).

    Just for clarification, I am in no way blaming Stearns. He got what he could, but man, what could have been.

    You are probably right dlk9s, just frustrating to see a great player like Lucroy get a significantly less return than Miller. I'm done talking about it.

    According to Buster, 4 players going to the Yankees. I hope the Cleveland/Lucroy deal falls through. I wasn't enamored with the return and Cleveland can go into the playoffs with their .178 hitting catchers.

    Also, this has nothing to do with the trade but someone put it out there on brewcrewball, and I forgot, Stearns was with Cleveland in 2012, he might very well value Meija higher than Zimmer and/Frazier.

    I would like: Sheffield, McKenzie, Hillman and Meija for Lucroy and Smith. Anything more would make me very happy.

    I despise the Mets more and more because they are leaking this information and probably makes it harder for DS deal with other teams if they know what the Mets have on the table.

    And yet he is still under a 2 WAR player. Constantly bringing it up will not update the package. Stearns probably took the worst package he was offered.

    That is a very intriguing package Southpaw. I think, if offered, DS should jump at that. I like Gallo, I do understand people's hesitation, and I think he will get better. He has been dropping his K rate this year. If he gets it down to 20%, I don't know if he can, he will be very impressive.
