  1. Ya - this has to happen. His avg is now .183 and his OPS is .530
  2. Hawkins kicked RRR's dog and then slept with his wife. At least thats the only explanation I can think of that explains why Loe keeps getting handed high leverage situations to screw up when Hawkins sits unused on the bench. Hahaha .... that's got to be it
  3. Ya - I agree. Loe is a 1 trick pony. You bring him in when you need a double play and that's it. He is good at getting ground balls. (not that it does us any good with our wonderful D though)
  4. Perfectly said. That's just nuts how far away he is from an ERA under 4
  5. For the record I am not "ragging" on Greinke. I am just disappointed in how he has pitched so far. I didn't expect him to be the Cy Young Greinke, but I did not think he would struggle this badly. For the record I am "ragging" on Greinke. He has not been fun to watch. At all. When we made the trade for him it was "there's our ace" and "watch out NL he will even get better in the league switch" ... blah blah blah. I don't remember one person saying, you will regret this trade. It's almost the all star break and his ERA has climed to almost 6 ... That's ridiculous. I am hugely dissapointed in him. And that is an understatement. If he can turn it around great, I will be rooting for him but he would have to have a complete 180 to end the season with an ERA under 4. (Which was everyone'e expectation when the trade was made)
  6. Donald Zachary Greinke stinks. He is lucky his run support for this year is: Run's / 27 outs while the pitcher was in the game: 6.2 runs (career is 4.2) Run's / 27 outs for every game he has started: 5.4 A slight difference if you just look at when he is in the game opposed to the stat that includes the last few innings of the games he has started. But whichever you want to look at 5-6 runs a game we are scoring in games he pitches. Thus a 7-3 record.
  7. Ya we totally got fleeced in this one ... Greinke is horrible. I am to the point where I don't even want to watch the games in which he pitches in.
  8. I hope he comes back with a quick turnaround. What happens to his hit streak if he misses due to injury?
  9. I just got an email from Brewers.com about a new article, it says: "Braun Still Leading All NL Vote-Getters. Fielder, Weeks, Betancourt & Lucroy each top-5 at their positions . Three-time All-Star OF Ryan Braun of the Brewers continues to lead the NL in voting for the All-Star Game, to be played on Tuesday, July 12th at Chase Field. Fellow Brewers, 1B Prince Fielder, 2B Rickie Weeks, SS Yuniesky Betancourt, and C Jonathan Lucroy trail in their position races, but all are within striking distance. " What? How has Yuni B even recieved 1 vote, much less enough to place him into the top 5 of the NL? This is a tad frustrating and I sure hope Melvin doesn't look at this like, well Brewers fans are voting for him, so they must like em.
  10. Lincecum: 1Halladay: 2 (though he's been in the mid-4's 3 times) Sabathia: 3 (including 2008, his age 27 year, just like Greinke's this year... remember that year?) Verlander: 1 Greinke: 2 You saved me a whole lot of time as I was going to try and look it up. So thanks! Well I just hope this is a small blip on the radar for him and in a month we have forgotten about it
  11. I say 8 -7 3-0 at BOS 2-1 vs TB 2-1 vs MIN 0-3 at NY 1-2 at MIN
  12. No doubt he is a good pitcher and I will be rooting for him to do well. But April form, May form, June form, October form, whichever, I expect more from a guy who is an "ace of staff." How many times does Lincecum, Halliday, Sabathia, or Verlander have 9 starts, 50+ innings with a 5+ ERA? Our post season aspirations sit on his shoulders. (And not only him, but we cannot expect to make a deep run with him throwing mediocre ball) ... Hopefully in a month I am singing a different tune. But if it's the all-star break and he is still struggling ... I don't know, I guess I can always say he is only in May form, he will get better. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. Was at the game today - pretty disappointed. Have seen 3 of his games in person, really unimpressed. 5+ ERA? Someone talk me off the ledge ... We traded what to get this?
  14. Honestly wasn't expecting that. But way to go yuni!
  15. I wonder what Vegas would put the odds on Yuni swinging at the first pitch?
  16. I don't care if you are a #5 starter, middle reliever or the last guy on the bench. 3 walks in 1 inning is inexcusable IMO.
  17. Pitcher's spot is due up 2nd. So if someone comes in, it will only be for the 5th inning. Thanks, I guess I couldn't think straight with all this anger.HA! Me neither, I had to pull up the game cast to remeber who exactly ended the inning. (Should have known it was yuni)
  18. Pitcher's spot is due up 2nd. So if someone comes in, it will only be for the 5th inning.
  19. This just sucks. Time to go to the pen, but they will have to pick up a lot of innings if they have to pull him now. 3 walks this inning. I would have pulled him after that last one.
  20. Here is the link. Hasn't had success for a while but what about just as a lefty specialist? He is only 27.
  21. I am in need of going to the bar and taking a celebratory shot! Stay hot George! ... So up next, Gamel for the interleague series in Boston?
  22. This is my 6th annual trip to Wrigley. My group has expanded to 14 Brewers fans + 1 Cub fan for this year. We will be at Murphy's as that bar has been our best experience. Plus we have bleacher seats and it is close to our entrance.
  23. I agree. Not only is he better but he would be our biggest HR threat on the bench.
  24. Thanks for the post. I am all for this and it would be a great move for Baseball. With MLB adding another team to the playoffs the AL gets 5 of 14 teams in (36% chance to make playoffs) and the NL gets 5 of 16 teams (31% chance for a team to make the playoffs). I can't see the NL owners being to satisfied with that. Making the post season = making money.
