  1. It was completely serious and yes you can. So Maldonado can catch once every two weeks? What sense would that make? I completely agree that CI needs to go, but I don't agree at all with rostering three catchers. Especially when one of the three is a young catcher who needs to play.
  2. After hearing rumblings about the Brewers tossing Greinke an initial offer of 5 years 100 million I wanted to discuss. Personally, I cannot decide on what side of the fence I am on with Greinke. Trade or Sign? It would be nice to lock him up for 5 years but that contract would handcuff the team quite a bit, and the thought of it scares me more than it excites me. I like the idea of trading him, but it isn't like we are going to get a top tier prospect for him. Without Greinke they are banking heavily on the fact that Peralta, Thornburg, Jungmann, or Bradley become a sold #2. That thought also scares me a bit as well. What side are you all on?
  3. I know this was probably half serious, but you can't keep three catchers on the roster. Trade Kottaras and Wolf. Let Maldonado and Lucroy split time for a month or so to ease Luc back in.
  4. Bianchi has ZERO power. The guy has three homeruns in his last 778 plate appearances. He is sporting a BABIP this year of close to 400 and that won't continue. I completely agree that we can't do any worse than CI and CR, but I do not see anything to be exited about here.
  5. Wait, so if a starter gives up a bunch of runs, the bullpen should just blow it so he doesn't get the win? How did you get that out of his comment? Wolf should be more mad at himself for blowing a four run lead on his own.
  6. Someone please tell me yahoo play by play if off or I am going to be very pissed. According to Yahoo Manny comes in to relieve Veras and records two outs with 8 pitches. Next inning with a lefty Morrison leading off Manny is pulled in favor of Loe, and then the wheels fall off. Why in the hell would RR make that decision? Manny has been tough against lefties this year, and we all know Loes track record vs. lefties. Horrible pitching also played a major factor, but one can only assume what might have happened if Manny stayed in since he appeared to be pitching well.
  7. How did Lance Lynn make the all-star game over Greinke. LaRussa still feels the need to screw over the crew even after he retires. It has been a while since I have see a worse all-star snub.
  8. He didn't last year. The players made the run last year, and RR was just along for the ride. He was bailed out of so many horrible decisions by the late inning rallies it was nuts. He isn't a manager, he is a buddy. When things are going good that works okay, but when the team needs a kick in the ass that doesn't work. He has zero balls. I saw on the MLB network today Showalter chewing out a player for riding around on a little scooter thing pregame telling him "We are here to win games." RR would never due that he would be right next to the player joking around.
  9. I would rather see him traded than extended. His average is now down to .246 with a OBP barely above .300. He has been solid at first and does have some pop left, but at his age they can't afford to extend him for the money he will want. They will need pitching more than anything and that is where that money should go.
  10. There are other ways to fill a rotation spot in 2013 than calling up one of the better young pitching prospects or picking up Wolf's option.
  11. Is there really a person on this board who thinks we should pick up Wolf's option? That would honestly be the worst possible thing the Brewers could do. I like Estrada, Fiers, and Narv Dog better than Wolf at this point and that isn't taking into account the fact that those 3 would combine to to make less than a third of Wolfs option for 2013. I guess it is just about service time and sending out a warm body to eat up innings and not about results. Comeeeee ooooon maaaaan.
  12. I wonder if RRR's post game presser will be the same as last night? "We just need to start swinging the bats..." Thanks for the great insight Ron.... SELL
  13. Nice Brewers, making Latos look like Cy Young so far today.
  14. Or lefties for that matter. Lefties have a .279 OBP vs. Parra this year. Just sayin'. I know, refering to the fact he walked Dunn. Parra is night and day when it comes to lefities vs righties this year.
  15. Both the Brewers and the Sox have been horrible with the bats today. Both teams continue to fail in key spots. Thanks Beckham.
  16. Not sure why Aoki didn't dive for that one. I know it is a bit risky, but it dropped like two feet in front of him.
  17. I was going to say something about Gomez batting second, but I honestly don't think there is a better option in that lineup.
  18. Aoki making things happen again today. I think he is going to be a very good player once he gets a little less streaky.
  19. Fixed, does anything good ever happen when he throws that pitch other than to start a hitter off with it?
  20. I was just going to say this same thing. "Let's sell now to re-tool for 2013...."?? Let's sell now to re-tool to make a run in 2015.
