  1. I wonder when they will pull that stupid commercial with the team talking about missing the playoffs last year and how they will be near the top of the league this season. Barf
  2. Toronto hit more home runs in 5 innings today than the Brewers have all year, and Bautista and Encarnacion weren't involved.
  3. When it rains it pours. Pretty sad when my six year old son tells me "I wish that the Brewers knew how to play good."
  4. Agree, there is nothing consistent. Look at the Cardinals, gameplan was very clear that they were going to be very aggressive and swing early. Every single hitter on board with that plan and it worked. Brewers on the other hand have no plan at the plate. Each player, not named Lucroy, with a different approach every AB it seems like. Coaching staff seems to have zero idea on how to scout and gameplan against an opposing pitcher. Hate the Cards, but you can't deny they are managed very well, and play as a cohesive unit. Don't see the Brewers ever getting to that point under RRR.
  5. Scooter just lost at the plate. Hard to watch most of this lineup right now.
  6. Braun swings at a pitch a two feet off the plate and then watches one go right down the middle for strike three...
  7. why not luc at 1B and maldy at C against a lefty?
  8. Anyone have hope of Jeffress becoming a legit bullpen arm? I have always had high hopes for him since he was drafted. Be neat to see him come full circle and back with the crew, and become a contributor.
  9. I will resist being mad over this situation. It is his first start of the season and 90 pitches is enough. Last thing we want is the only person to pitch a good game to get arm fatigue etc.... Yeah, I'm not mad. Wily didn't need to go longer in his first start. Just same old RRR managing by the book in every situation, and then mismanaging the pitcher he goes with in the 8th because Broxton is the 8th inning guy...
  10. What is annoying is Wily was pitching well minus two mistakes. RRR pulls him for a pinch hitter with two out no one on. I think Wily had a better chance of getting a hit than the scrub they pinch hit for him. Good ole robot RRR, must pinch hit in this spot, must not stray from what my how to manage in this situation book tells me...
  11. This team has been pretty bad with the bats so far, but I wanted to jump on here and comment about how great it is to have a legit 1B! Lind looking good so far. Hopefully he can stay healthy. The rest of the bats will come around.
  12. Pretty sure being bright has nothing to do with it. Wily missed his spot on a slider 0-2 and hung it a little. Rockies are just crushing every mistake right now.
  13. I think you are underestimating his value. A proven pitcher who is a lock to toss 180-200 innings and post an ERA in the mid to high 3s has quite a bit of value. Van Slyke is a nice player, but trading Yo should get a much better return.
  14. RRR is the most worthless manager I have ever seen. Everyone on the planet knew what was going to happen after Broxton gave up that second hit. I guess I understand why he left him in there. He is the 8th inning guy after all. Its not like he coughed up yesterday's game...dooohhhhh!
  15. Glad Braun decided to swing at 37 balls in that AB.
  16. Need to log on and chime in on that Braun AB. I cannot stand arrogant umps who feel like they are bigger than the game. Your job is to shut up and make the right calls. No one cares who you are and you should be shown up if you make a horrible call. Not to mention two horrible calls back to back. Neither of those pitches were even iffy.
  17. Was just saying this. Time to get him out of there. Only bad things are going to happen here.
  18. Matheny is a huge douche but I think he is referring to the fact that Gomez stood in front Jay blocking his vision to the outfield so he couldn't see when Parra caught it. You can see him moving around on purpose to block Jay from seeing Parra.
  19. I agree with this. Melvin makes some sneaky good moves, but then fails to address glaring holes in the roster far to often.
  20. I mean some heads have to roll right? It's not like they are taking tough losses; they are getting completely dominated. Sad this season went from potential playoff run to the only highlight being sweeping the Dodgers in a matter of two weeks.
  21. Stopping in to say hahahahahaha, my god this team is laughable right now. Completely falling apart. I was really hoping they were going to hang on down the stretch, but are showing they are not ready to win. RR needs to go. He has no control over this team, and no idea how to win. He is a players manager, which is neat and fun when they are winning, but when things start going bad it spirals out of control because there is no accountability. It could work if there were strong leaders in the clubhouse, but that hasn't existed on the Brewers for years. I hate being negative, but I am finally watching the train wreck I knew would eventually happen.
  22. Must have starters get to 100 pitches. Cannot go to the pen before that. If i do that my brain will explode. RRR logic
