  1. Brewers - Pujols Packers - Jamaal Charles Bucks - Kevin Garnett
  2. The kabob idea came from a girl from my hometown...and one of my buddies dated her for a while. Sounds awesome, that's what I voted for too.
  3. We didn't renew our 20 pack this year (focusing on the mortgage more), but my rep did talk me into a 9 pack with Opening Day, so they are up for sale I guess.
  4. Hook, line and sinker...you got me.
  5. Kind of off topic, but Bridges is hosting Saturday Night Live tonight. I'll be DVR-ing that one.
  6. I take my puppy to Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital up in Prairie du Sac. I work up there though, so it's easy for me to bring her in there for shots, checkups, etc. They're pretty reasonable, in my opinion, and I've been VERY satisfied with all of the work we've had done there and I will keep taking her there. My sister-in-law and her husband used to take their dog to some place in Middleton, but switched to there after having a few bad experiences. Very friendly and they'll answer any questions you have, even if you just call them up. It's right on that 25 mile span from the west side, so maybe it's not for you, but I love that place.
  7. When I first heard these rumors of Marcum for Lawrie, my first thought was that a Weeks extension must be in the works and hopefully close. Without reading through all of the 19 pages of posts thus far, I'm surprised at how many people are complaining about this trade. We need pitching, we have to give something up. As others have stated, Marcum for Lawrie, straight up, seems like a pretty good deal. Who knows, maybe Lawrie will end up in the HOF some day, but we'll have to wait a few years for that. While I'm sad to see a potentially great bat leave the system, pitching is what's going to win nowadays. We've seen the last couple of years what a great offense can do with a sub-par pitching staff. I'm glad to see this addressed through a trade, rather than just throwing money at a free agent pitcher. In my opinion, this seems like a solid trade.
  8. It's up over $300! I might have to consider selling mine, at this rate...
  9. I was at a game with my buddy two years ago and he had his boss' seats in the club level. We were walking around checking out all of the cool pictures they have in there and there was a little booth set up with a Wii. Turns out they were doing a home run derby contest on Backyard Baseball and if you got the high score for the day, you would win an autographed baseball (didn't say who, though). My buddy steps up first and hits 4 homers in the 10 pitches you get. I hadn't played it before, so I stepped up and wiffed at the first pitch, but then proceeded to hit homers on the next 9 pitches I saw. The guy there was dumbfounded. I found out I won when there was a package at my door a few weeks later. My winnings for the day? A DAVE BUSH AUTOGRAPHED BALL! BOOYAH! I guess, it was free though.
  10. I'd like to add McGehee to that list as well.
  11. Nickleback
  12. It was stupid to leave them, but live and learn. I'll know better next time.
  13. Just a sidenote, my wife and I were at the game Saturday with my brother-in-law and his girlfriend and were fortunate enough to get one of these for each of us. We got a large bag from one of the stores so that we wouldn't have to each carry them around, which worked nicely. During the middle of one of the innings, we got up to use the restroom and grab a beer. I figured, we're only leaving for a couple of minutes, I'll just leave them under our seats. We come back and the bag is gone. It takes a few minutes, but then someone in our section said that they saw a couple of younger girls (definitely under 21, so they wouldn't have gotten their own bobbles) sit in our seats. Appartantly they decided to take our bag. A little while later, a lady in our section recognized them in the section next to us, so I went and confronted them. They had no idea what I was talking about, or so they said. So I found a security guard near our section and told him about it. He called for backup, and they went to confront the girls. By this time, they had gotten wind of what was about to go down, and 3 of them pretty much booked it for the exit. They left one of their friends to talk with security, and this girl apparantly had no idea what they had done. Security found my bag with the headband I had purchased for my wife, but no bobbles. The girl kept trying to call her "friends", but they wouldn't answer the phone. Way to throw your friend under the bus. Security asked me what I wanted to do (i.e., press charges, etc.), but I didn't want to do that. I didn't care that much about the bobbles, it was just the principle of the whole ordeal. Next time, I guess I won't even leave my peanuts at my seat without asking someone to watch them. So anyway, who's got an extra that they're willing to sell or trade!?!
  14. I absolutely agree, the current ones you can tell are cheap-os right off the bat by the yellow instead of gold on the sleeve. That's why I passed my Braun knockoff along the last time we did an order. I mean, for somewhere around $20, it's definitely not bad, but I didn't want to wear it. Now the Yount Mitchell & Ness powder blue throwback, that one looked pretty darn good. I was very pleased with that purchase.
  15. You kids with your loud music, and your Dan Fogleberg, your Zima, hula hoops and pac-man video games...
  16. Not sure if this is the correct spot for this, but here we go. Just found this as I was checking out the frontpage on madison.com. An interesting little read. http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/article_89195536-c0bf-509a-bf3d-22a4e25237b9.html
  17. Less Than Jake - Losing Streak
  18. Does that person honestly think they'll get $1800, or even the $500 opening bid?? And where are they getting their info about seeing another lot "just like it" go for $2000?? Some people's kids...
  19. On the note of bobbleheads, there's a Bill Hall tracksuit bobble ending in about 4 hours and there's also an Attanasio bobble that has about 9 days left. Hall is at $153.51 and Attanasio is at $152.50 currently.
  20. I was just searching for the Mr 3000 bobble yesterday! Must've just missed it. Nice pickup, you lucky dog!
  21. We just got a puggle 4 weeks ago too, looks kinda like the pic above as well. Named her Moli, after Paul Molitor. Can't imagine not having a dog after only having her for a short period of time. Sleeps through the night and goes to the door when she needs to go potty. Couldn't be happier with her.
