  1. Cuz they have golden horseshoes up their patoots.
  2. This made me laugh...made me think of "Mallrats". Hopefully someone knows what I'm thinking of. Yup it's from Mallrats. That is what I was going for. I hoped someone else got the joke.Hahaha, nice.
  3. This made me laugh...made me think of "Mallrats". Hopefully someone knows what I'm thinking of. Anyway, I would totally agree with a 4-5 year deal in the $30 million range. With the nice start he had last year and the blazing start this year, try to lock him up on the cheaper side. Just imagine if they were able to sign Fielder as well. With either Gomez or Escobar in the 2 spot and McGehee in the 5 spot, we could have a very, very nice 1-5 for the next 4 to 5 years.
  4. Give that kid a blue hat with a yellow ball on the top. He's already got the red shirt too! But seriously, what a piece of garbage. He deserves everything that they throw at him, if not more.
  5. I'll go $300. This is really great of you to offer these up. I like the choices of charities too. Thank you, sir!
  6. It's great to see our "diamond in the rough" from last year is off to a nice start.
  7. Well, we can call this thread "3 games in..." now. Wasn't able to watch or hear the game, sadly, but it looks like they found a way to win and take the series. Nice start to the season.
  8. You sound like my buddy after Opening Day who said "Yep, they'll be lucky to win 60 games this year". I called him Debbie Downer. After 2 games, I'm looking for positives thus far. I'm don't want to hear any re-hash about how terrible Kendall is. If Zaun goes on a Brad Nelson-type streak of 0-27, then maybe you'll have a point. I'm not concerned after 2 games though. Just my $.02.
  9. That's the point I was trying to get across. I've grown out of the stage where I attend an afternoon game and feel the need to polish off a 12 pack. I've also grown out of the stage where I want to see people acting stupid. There are doing to be drunks at every game. Period. But, I would rather go to a game where I can tailgate without incident, get my $10.50 Bloody Mary, enjoy my helmet full of cheese fries and enjoy watching the Crew. To each their own, I guess is the best way to go on this issue.
  10. That is correct! My buddy and I left the park a little early to tailgate a little more and when we got out to the car, that happened about 5 minutes later.
  11. Saw a lot of drunks acting very childish. Saw a a guy get knocked out down from where I was parked. Saw 5 officers on horses and 2 officers on Harleys respond to it. Saw myself reconsidering going to Opening Day next year.
  12. I've got them all, except for the majority of the powder blue minis from 2007. Paid through the teeth for the track suit Bill Hall and the Attanasio ones, but it's worth it in my opinion.
  13. I agree, Bo should be fired. Would any of you really rather go back to 15 years ago when the Badgers were a .500 team? Sure, Bo hasn't made a Final Four yet, but I don't see another coach that I would rather have. Maybe that's just my opinion though.
  14. Oh, wow...that would be AWESOME! That's the best idea I've heard in a long time!
  15. Just got back from our honeymoon and there they were, sitting in front of our door. It was 3 a.m. last night, but I had to open them up and look at them. Only a few more weeks!
  16. Just an update for this, I got ahold of my ticket rep and he thanked me over and over for letting him know. He asked if I would send them back in the mail, so back to Milwaukee they go!
  17. I'll definitely get ahold of my ticket rep and ask him what to do with the tickets (send them back, shred them, whatever). I was really confused when I saw 4 extra tickets though.
  18. So, I got home from work today and received my tickets that I ordered through the season seat holder pre-sale from a week or two ago. All of the games that I ordered extra tickets for were there, but in additon there were 4 extra tickets to the Friday night game on the weekend they play the Mariners (plus, they were $38 each). My credit card never got charged for these and I know that I didn't order these since I can never make it to Friday night games. My question is, is this a mistake on the ticket office's part or was this something they threw in if you ordered a certain amount of tickets? My thought is that it has to be a mistake at the ticket office. If so, it's the right thing to do to contact them and make sure they get to the rightful owner. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  19. If that would have happened, at least the Brewers wouldn't have been the victim of Verlander's no-hitter.
  20. Wow...just, wow. Totally didn't see that coming.
  21. Cool, thanks for the help everyone. It's a project for a little ways down the road, but I think a bunch of Brewers patches would look cool framed and matted somehow.
  22. I've been collecting various Brewers "patch" cards (either pieces of numbers, lettering, patches from sleeves, etc, from jerseys) and I had a cool idea for framing some day. I've looked on ebay and you can buy the same patches that teams have sewn into their jerseys (they're mostly current patches), but I'm looking for the .net teams expertise in finding out what other patches have been on Brewers jerseys over the years. A few I've come up with are the ball and glove logo, the current Brewers logo, the Harvey Kuenn tribute patch, the "Home to Heroes" from 2001, the 2007 25th anniversary patch of the '82 WS, and Jackie Robinson Day. Any other ones that anyone can come up with? Thanks in advance.
  23. Here's my thought on saving some money: set up a budget with what you feel comfortable paying. Then, when you go to look at flowers, cakes, photographers, etc., tell them, "Here's what our budget is, what can you do for us?". For example, we did that for our flowers, told them that we have a budget of $900 (that included corsages, bridesmaids, decorations, etc.), and they actually came in under budget. Another neat idea my wife had was to have individual cakes at each table, and that was the "centerpiece" for them. People loved that idea, and it was much cheaper to get those done than some big, elaborate cake. All in all, with some help from our parents, money from guests, etc., our bank account looks the same as it did before we started planning the wedding. Also, in my opinion, don't skimp on pictures. I've talked to some people who don't even want people to look at their wedding album because they hate it so much. Also, with a good photographer, he/she won't take 15 minutes to get group shots done. I hate posing for pictures, but she got us through all of the poses and group photos so quickly. All the groomsmen enjoyed that too; it was less time away from drinking after the ceremony was done.
  24. I'll be there, but I've got to work until almost 3. So I guess I should say, I'll be there with my drunk friends.
