Why ask a player to bunt when they have proven they can't? There comes a point when you just quit asking. Bunting is only for pitchers and struggling bench players that have proven they can bunt.
Reds have a better offense at basically every position except maybe SS (and Peralta has not been great). And Votto is the only MVP-caliber offensive player between the two teams. St. Louis came into the season riding on the helium of their unsustainably luck 2013, but those fumes are quickly evaporating. You could very well be correct, but compared to the Brewers they aren't very good teams. I expect this race to be over by the end of May. I don't care who wins the WC. I would rather play the Reds in the playoffs.
It's a 2 team race for now. Reds and Brewers? Cincinnati is only one game behind St. Louis and has a much better roster at this point. Comparable pitching, better offense going forward. The Cards and Brewers. Cards have much better offense and good pitching. The Reds will struggle to score runs this season, and the loss of Choo was a huge loss to them. Mid-season activity between the two should be interesting. My prediction is by the end of May the this division race will be over and it will be a fight for a WC for the Reds and Cards.
The Cards are screwing up. Way too many pitching over the plate, and too many to call it a mistake pitch. The Brewers destroy pitching like that. Gotta put it in perspective stout. The Cards aren't the same team as last year. Not by a mile. Sorry dead simmons, but it's true.
There's positivity, and then there's "I love lamp" posts. List all the positive things I've said about this team over the months, I'll wait a few months till you find them all, because there's so many you can't count.
Yeah, we know. I don't know if you're serious or trolling with this whole act, but it has gotten old. It's not an act at all. Posters are generally very quick to say it's over prematurely when they don't understand that we have a team with pitching that can hold the score till our offense catches up. Someones got to stay positive and realistic. Nothing wrong with what I said at all.
There's more to it than that. You guys weren't even close. I knew the Brewers would be VERY good this season, so the 20-8 was more of an educated guess.
