    The team I feel bad for is the Rangers. They are 3 games over .500 and accoarding to Pecota have less than a 3% chance at the playoffs.

    Ah, wow, just wow. Tough luck for Franklin and the Cardinals. They still may come back in extras though.

    We saw this last year with the Brewers, except its the opposite. Our pitchers are pitching, our hitters can't hit squat this entire month. That's what happens when you don't have a superstar hitter on your entire team. Is that supposed to be in blue? Braun and Fielder are both superstars.

    Ryan Franklin in to close it. I would actually feel bad for him if he blows it as he was near tears after the last Brewer game.

    It wasn't just that series, though that was worse, it has been the whole year this year that they have struggled with RISP... They have a .247 BA (26th) with RISP when they are normally .256 (20th) They have a .758 OPS (16th) with RISP when they are normally .770 (8th) So they do have their struggles.

    In all the years that Sheets has been here I haven't heard him rave about a catcher like he has this year about Kendall. He could just be blowing smoke but I do take his opinion pretty seriously.
