    I am going to wait until 5:30 to leave just to make sure there is a game. It takes me almost an hour and a half to get there so I should be there close to gametime.

    Good stuff Patrick. Though I am not into the draft as much as most people that will be watching today, I appreciate all the work that gets done in preperation. If only the draft was tomorrow so us BF.netters softball team had one more day to shine for the teams looking to add some age to their system.

    It would depend on how much ground Hart can cover. Either way Menchkins would be gone...

    What I would do if I got Cabrera is for the rest of the year I would throw him in RF. I would switch Hart to center and keep Menchkins in LF. From there Hall becomes a supersub playing 4-5 days a week at 3B, SS, 2B, LF, and CF. This would be messing around with Billy again but heck, look at last years numbers when we did that too him.

    Three Favorite.... 1) Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett 2) Battle Royale by Koushun Takami 3) The Long Walk by Stephen King I really don't read all that much historical literature as I mostly read in my leisure time. The Pillars of the Earth takes place in the 12th century and deals with Kings and hierarchies. Battle Royale is a book about a futuristic Japan in which one class of 9th graders get sent to an island and have to fight till the death. The Long Walk, which i have read 5-6 times now, is a short story originally penned by Richard Bachman, Stephen King's alias, in which 100 kids partake in a walk that takes place in Maine. The kids walk until they can't walk anymore, at that point they are shot and killed. The winner gets whatever they want. Good read, if you have an open night you can get it done pretty easily. The book I am reading as we speak, as school just got out and I have some time, is American Psycho. They made a movie starring Christian Bale of this book, but so far the gore and mayhem in the book is unmatched.

    As with every team, it seems like you HAVE to stay away from leeing the big bats get you. Pitch away from Lee if you can and then get DeRosa later in the inning. I think if that they should be able to handle this lineup if the pitching is adequate.

    I would be a little iffy about this as well as we would be going down a path where winning seems to be our main goal. I know that's not mine. For me, in my situation where I drive a little longer to get there, I wouldn't mind playing a full game and then being out the next as this would save on gas on the days where I am off.

    Still, even with the splits, VERY difficult to sit Hart as he has been hitiing the ball well.

    Does Vargas ever not struggle? I know looking at the results, he is a great number 5 pitcher but man, every inning somethign is going on.
