  1. On a scle of 1-10, 10 being how confident I am in our Starters here it is... Gallardo-8 Capuano-5 Bush-4 Vargas-3 Soup-4 I really didnt think this was going to be the issue this year.
  2. Yep, older guy in the terrace level. Not that that really helps.
  3. Whoops, the ultimate sign of disrespect.
  4. I disagree on the first part. Yes, the bulding was run down but ths site lines at that place were fantastic. There are too many seats at Miller Park that have site issues.
  5. Going to the games this year and has been very fun and energetic but I have seen a couple things that make me remember how much fun I used to have at Country Stadium. Now bear in mind I realize that with winning and a nicer park we get more revenue and that is a great thing but it has taken some of the things away that I used to really enjoy when going to a baseball game. Given the choice I would chose what we have right now, with the winning and the crowds but I just wanted to point out a couple things I have noticed. 1) Non-Baseball Fans: Now I realize that they were there at County, a lot on opening day at least, but at last nights game we had the wave going in a one run game, people getting food/drinks in the middle of an important series of events, and drunks getting drunk and spilling beer on us without an apology. Also, if the woman who had her hand up her boyfriend/husbands shorts is here at BF.net, just a reminder there were children in the row behind with befuddled looks as to why your hand was gyrating. 2) Giveaways: I love bobble heads as much as the next guy but I really hate the fact that bobble heads have brought so many ebayers to the park. A game ago I had a family of four sitting next to me with a duffle bag full of bobble heads from the Bernie's Terrace tickets they bought out. That wasn't enough though, as they sent there 7-8 year old daughter out for innings at a time to ask total strangers for their bobble heads under the false pretenses of hers being stolen. Stay classy Milwaukee. 3) Ushers: I realize that your pay more than likely remains the same and the job description has become tougher since the old days, but that is no reason to be total jerks. The amount of times that I get yelled at reminds me of my school years. Whether it's being told to find my seats quicker before the game, sit down so others can watch the game behind me (It was a rally!), or that I shouldn't be upset when the Brewers lose because they "suck" according to him, if I am to be scolded it better be by my mother. 4) Seating: This is a minor issue and is nobody's fault but I remember April nights were my group and I had our own bleacher section. We could spread out and stretch and have a good time with out the fear of getting up and losing my seat. Now you might ask, how does one go about losing their seat when I have a ticket that gives me the right to that seat? Well, I learned a long time ago that I am a wuss and if someone is sitting in my seat I have two options. The first, is ask them to move and risk getting yelled at for wanting to sit in my seat when there are plenty others available (which there isn't anymore). The second option is to suck is up and migrate towards an open seat somewhere else, living the life of a nomad. Clearly, I choose the second option. Also, "30 year-old guy with a glove that watches BP", please don't jump on me to get a ball. My bloody knee doesn't appreciate it. And there it is, this might be venting thread material and if it is move it at your leisure. I thought others might want to share in my fond memories of yesteryears. (consolidated tags --1992)
  6. How was the Yost line? Im going to a game at the end of the year when his group goes and I dont wanna even attempt to go for Prince so Im thinking about Yost. Or I believe Villanueva is in that group as well. Not bad. We went to the Prince line and realized there was no chance whatsoever so we moved and got into the Yost line at 5:40. We easily got through as he seemed to sign for quite some time. We had the autographs by 6:05 and we went and watched BP for a while thereafter.
  7. Got in line at 4:45 for Prince. No chance of getting it so we got Yost instead which wasnt bad.
  8. I am taking a couple students to the game tonight and with it being autograph Friday and Prince signing, how early can/should we get there?
  9. I feel odd.
  10. I hate Oliver Perez and his smug ways.
  11. Please dont be hurt fielder.
  12. http://www.givememyremote.com/remote/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/rudy.jpg We are right after the part where he quits and before the old janitor gives his speech about not wanting it enough.
  13. Maybe it's just me but I got a set of Nike Slingshots were hit EXTREMELY nice, the Sasquatch which mashes a ball, a hybrid that works well, and a Nike Oz putter. The only thing I dont like it the putter as I made the mistake of getting a 34 inch club.
  14. Stupid Wrigley field, injuring people. Should burn the place down.
  15. Lily out of the game. 5 IP.
  16. I got it, not bad.
  17. I recently got a Nike Sasquatch, not the sumo, and I had problems with a slice. It wasn't the weight of the club but instead the shaft which was the issue. I got a stiff shaft on it now and my drives have been as good as I have ever had, which isnt saying all that much.
  18. Ok, let me know if you cant get in soon otherwise I will make one for you if needed.
  19. The last two that joined are Houlie and sbrylski. Tomorrow at 9, things should start up! Hope everyone gets in before then to sign up.
  20. Any chance he has some OF experience in his past history? I wouldnt think it would be much of a reach for a 3B to go to a RF/LF spot. His arm has gotta be plus as well as his reactions.
  21. Ok here is an updated list of people I have. (Razzzorsharp, Afeter, Casselsuglies, whynotthwebrewers, getpaddled, gypcasino, cguckiehacks, and bball123) We have 8 which is technically enough, but 10 would be better. What is everyones opinion of going with 8 instead of 10?
  22. I think Wise will now channel Nolan Ryan headhunting ways and throw 7 no-hitters.
  23. 1) Peavy 2) Griffey Jr 3) Sexson 4) Halladay 5) Crawford
  24. sbrylski06, BBall, Houlie, and Matt, pleae email me if you want it.
