  1. It wouldn't have been just a routine catch but it wasn't much harder than a normal than just a ball near the wall. I expect Braun or any LF to make that catch as they wouldn't have had to jump. The angle of the wall was the trickiest part.
  2. I am not sure you can blame Loe here. Stuck out a batter who then got a hit and then Braun mishandled a ball. Still got the top of the 9th, how about some more heroics.
  3. ?Fantasy related it's nice to have Greinke and Marcum as my SPs and Axford as my closer on weekends like this. Also...
  4. BA talked about Gamel being called up for the interleague series coming up. If he gets called up, I hope he is in the lineup everyday at first or third.
  5. Just because he knows to make catches look more difficult than they really should be by unnecessarily jumping and crashing into a wall? Nope. Sorry. This is the worst post yet. To even mock Gomez on defense is laughable. The dude is ridiculous. It's not even up for discussion. I think both statements are correct. He does make things look more difficult than they really are (today's catch/double flip catch) but he may be the best defensive CF in the game and there is a definite need for him on this team. Great game, great late inning sub (I am not sure Kotsay gets to that ball, I think he does but who knows), and Prince's hitting is ridiculous.
  6. 3-0 against the first place team,4-2 homestand, and first place all by themselves. Not bad.
  7. I still think Macha knew more and was a better number cruncher but for whatever reason the players seem to enjoy their job more this year. Whether that is translating into wins I do not know. Whether the players are enjoying the season more because of winning, I do not know.
  8. That was the best inning I may have ever seen from Axford.
  9. I don't dislike Loe but I do dislike having him in a defined role with little deviation.
  10. Pretty good outing, 7 IP and 3 ER. I would take that every time. It will be interesting to see who is going to work the 8th with Jay, Pujols, and Berkman coming up. I would like to see Braddock in.
  11. The trick is to make sure she doesn't know it's Brewer related.
