  1. Well...at least Shepard got open. That's about the 5th time I've seen a Packer receiver lose his footing tonight.
  2. I thought it was a off-side watching it live, but that tackle started moving a split second before Smith took off when I went back....I think. It was real close. They've got plenty of time. Just need to keep attacking with the run. They've played these last few series like there was only 5 minutes left. Just get the running game going again and set up the play action.
  3. I think Hollman may have thought the returner brushed it when it bounced. Based on his reaction, it seemed like he just didn't know where he was on the field. He's a rookie, probably amped up. Dumb play though.
  4. That's alright, we didn't need to let the ball bounce another 10-12 yards there. Make sure you get it as soon as possible as it's rolling toward the endzone.
  5. Maybe, it'd certainly help, but the fact that the Packers keep making them settle for FG's just might allow them to win without it. Rodgers needs to give his guys a chance here. What happened to that back shoulder? He's got at least some chemistry with Kumerow. And they can stop asking about Allison, it was obvious he was not coming back.
  6. Rodgers could catch. He really struggled to get open, but if it hit his hands, he wasn't dropping it. Graham showed a little life last week and....we're back.
  7. He's easily the most annoying guy they've had in the booth aside from Dennis Miller.
  8. This defense has been pretty incredible in short yardage. Kinda shocked at how agile Mercedes Lewis looks like after dropping a bunch of weight heading into this season. I was shocked he was back at all. He said some not so great things about Aaron Rodgers in the offseason and being he isn't some roster necessity I thought for sure that would be his ticket out of town. Yeah, he towed the line enough though. Didn't he say something McCarthy called in a play and Rodgers just ignored it and threw a 40 yard completion. I forgot about that until you mentioned it. Packers are in trouble if they give up a TD here.

  10. Yeah, because it happened fast and they missed the call.
  11. Even better coverage by the Lions on that play.....
  12. The Ref who's calling the game with them red the rule during the broadcast.
  13. I don't even care if they can return them. Just catch 'em. That's all you need to do.
  14. The former Ref who works the game said that wasn't a penalty. You can't get called for leading with your helmet when you're diving to the ground trying to catch the ball. I mean...I guess you CAN, but you really should't. Packers got that back.
  15. Yeah, they said they were going to start calling it 2 or 3 years ago and RB's were worried about it. I think they called it a few times in the pre-season games and I can't remember it being called since then. The RB leads with his helmet virtually every play.
  16. Eh. If you make contact with a helmet while diving forward, that HAS to get called. The perception is that the NFL doesn't care about safety. They HAVE to call head-to-head hits like that, regardless of intent. No, they definitely do not have to make that call. He's going down trying to catch the ball. It's a violent game. That was just not a penalty on any level. It just happened too quickly, the Ref obviously thought he was trying to break up the play. But that was clearly not a penalty. That'll be one the Lions send to the NFL and get an apology IMO.
  17. If anything it shouldn’t even be a flag. It really is kind of funny. I mean, not a guy getting decked like that, but no one bats an eye at that hit probably 10 years ago. I always think about the hits that ended Aikman and Young's career. Especially Young's. It made Burflict's look gentle.
  18. If anything it shouldn’t even be a flag. He was going for the ball. Not like he was trying to plow over Allison. They should be review-able on those. Just from the booth. That play happens so fast, I get why the ref misses the call, but he was just going down to get it as if he was the WR'er.
  19. Cobb would clearly have been worth 5 million for 1 year. I don't really think there's any question about this any longer. The chemistry he had with Rodgers? Yeah, he'd have helped out quite a bit. Especially in an offense more suited for his style of play.
  20. Uh, yeah. You could argue they'd have the lead had Jones not fumbled. Weren't they in FG range when he fumbled? Then the next play Sullivan was for some reason supposed to be playing over the top and they picked up 50 right away? Packers defense has been pretty damn impressive. They were about an inch away from stopping them short on that 4th and goal. I'm still not sure if he got in. They're in good shape. I'm hoping that MVS can come back or that they can hit Shepard on one of those double moves that he has set up so well a couple times this year.
  21. I have high hopes for MVS, but he isn't ready to be a featured receiver yet. They could really use a guy like ... well ... Randall Cobb right now. That was my thinking. Especially after he signed for just 1 year and 5 million. But I don't things are quite as dire as people are suggesting. You put Adams out there and the whole WR'er/TE group looks different. Really the frustrating thing is that Graham can't seem to come down with the ball in the endzone. I understand he can't stretch the field like he used to, but he had great hands. Also, might not be a bad idea to use Lazard in a TE role. Not an inline TE obviously, but have him line up as the TE in that bunch. A lot of teams were talking to him about playing TE before he ran the 40 at the combine or his pro-day, whichever one it was. 6'5 230.
  22. I think the chances are very low they trade for a WR'er who's nor familiar with this system. Neither Parker nor Green fit that bill. Plus they'll get Adams back, Tonyan, MVS appears to be alright. I don't think they'll be adding anyone at WR'er or TE until next May.
  23. Well...at the very least he shouldn't be out there at safety. Back to back series he gave up big pass plays when he was caught out of position. I get it on the flee flicker, but not the 2nd one.
  24. Even if Blake stays healthy, you've seen what happened vs the Eagles when we stayed in the nickel because Goodson is so mediocre. But we were able to shut down Dallas staying in the base. a 34 should have two good MLB'ers at least. And Brown may be better in coverage than Blake. I still have no clue what Burks actually is. And I really don't have a problem with him saying something before the Vikings game. It's basically what Tramon said after the game. Then when Raven Greene gets back, we're even more versatile.
