I'd just like to see a QB sneak here. Don't screw around with Cox up the middle. -

Yeah, that was brutal. They had a MVS open down the field and Rodgers seemed to have time, but that was a great job with that strip. Blown PI call. Packers had the momentum at the time, about to score again. LOL....ok, there have been a few big ones. I can't argue with any of these. But the Packers offense is looking good at least. -

How about after the draft when we knew we only had one legitimate starting MLB'er and Zach Brown was sitting around and the Eagles signed him for 2.5 million. I was begging the Packers to go out and get him. Get a 2nd veteran LB'er in there who can play the run. Though if the DL can't occupy the blockers, I guess it doesn't matter if you have Lewis and Kuechly out there. -

I'd argue that the biggest difference is the complete breakdown of the Packers run defense. Turnovers happen. Sure, the run D has been brutal. I think he just literally meant the difference in the score. They don't get 7 and there's a good chance we get a big play there. -

No, very little of this is on Martinez. Kelce, Peters and Johnson are just dominating in the run game(and their TE's are blowing guys up.) You have to keep people off Martinez. And frankly you can't play with one backer when they're running all over you. Get Summers on the field now WITH Martinez. Someone with speed who can make some plays. -

It's the only way Jeffrey is going to get any separation on King. Refs have been told to key on it, yet they continue to miss it constantly. Ok, I missed that. Still just zero gap integrity tonight. This is a great OL...I get that, but they need to squeeze down and wait for pursuit...and Howard runs through Blake. -

King has been incredible tonight....but I don't get that. I guess that's just inexperiance from playing about half the games the last two years. You have a safety over the top and you let Jeffery run a simple 11 yard route on 3rd and 10? You've been up in his face and contesting all game long and he's not running by you. Get up there and contest the ball. -

No, inactive ... and it hurts big time. Yeah, that's definitely hurting them. But the Packers DL are just not occupying gaps like they're supposed to, they're trying to get in the backfield every play. And it's working out every once in a while with plays like Clark's last 2-3 yard loss, but every other time, they're getting gashed. At least they didn't overturn this. Now time for the DB's to step up! -

They're playing nickel vs two TE sets. Puts Summers in the damn game. He's not exactly a thumper, but he can cover in space and he's better vs the run than using Tramon as your box safety. SMH...King's been awesome tonight though. And if they overturn this call after NOT overturning the call on MVS, I'm gonna lose my mind. -
I don't know how Craig Counsell doesn't win Manager of the year after this. I thought he got robbed last year, but this year? This is a 82-83 win team talent wise. And he's just got them playing like he played. Just getting every last ounce of ability out of these guys....and despite not having a #1,2 or 3 pitcher, missing their MVP bat, their best reliever and a number of other guys, they've run off 18 of 20 games heading into the final 3 games of the season. And I was always a bit of a Yost apologist...I thought he was treated a bit unfairly on here at times(by all Brewers fans) but there's something to how the Yost teams got tight in the big moments or late in the year, but somehow Counsell is able to keep them lose and just playing. I have to believe some of that is from the manager. I looked at this series and thought we could lose 2 of 3. Cincy's a good talented team and we faced good pitching. But they just handled their business. How crazy would it be if THIS was the year they actually won the World Series. How big of an upset would that be? Like the Cards team around '05 or '06. Of course they had one of the weakest NL fields in quite a while while we've got a very tough one(and then a tougher AL field). But just getting back there with everything we went through...that'd be amazing.

Aren't you pretty much describing most of the CEO's or board members for the biggest corporations in this country and most of the people who run for or become President(on both sides, not picking anyone out in particular). I mean, you hear about how sociopaths, the high functioning types are often the ones in positions of power in this country. It actually serves them well....for what they're trying to accomplish. I think he's a guy who's narcissistic, who did force his way out of Oakland, and everything was going exactly as he and the Pats had planned and then BAM...out comes the accusations. Which he totally could have taken care of if he'd just have settled with her. He'd be playing now, he'd have gotten his 5 million, the Pats would be scary good. Instead, in a few weeks, they'll likely be without two of the most talented, but troubled players in this league. Though I do actually root for Josh Gordon as he doesn't seem to have the same issues that Brown has. I don't consider addiction a disease, but I do have sympathy for it. I think I've changed my mind though. IF somehow the women magically came out and said, "well, he didn't actually do anything wrong....etc...etc..." and the whole cloud went away, I might be willing to see him back on the Packers for about 2 million a year! It's funny how not seeing a public breakdown by AB in a few weeks can have that type of impact on you! You forget the crazy and just remember the talent! Like that Ex that everyone has. That's only partially in blue. My guess is he plays again for the most egotistical owner in the NFL in Jerry World. But not this year, probably next....and even then, hopefully after a lengthy suspension. Jones seems like the only owner who's willing to put his thumb in the eye of the other owners. And then he can rehire the team that spent all that time around Dez to make sure he was behaving himself and assign them to AB.

They’ve won 1 playoff game since he came off his rookie contract. Even Aaron Rodgers has won more in that same span. Good QB, decent guy, but overrated IMHO. The whole underrated/overrated thing is tough. Is Aaron Rodgers overrated right now? Probably based on what he's done recently. But where is Wilson "ranked" by most people? I'd say most people place him in that 6-9 range. I think that's fair. That dude's a magician in the pocket. He HAS been their offense. They've never been able to develop an offensive line for him and he makes some incredible plays. Right now I'd put...in no particular order. Mahomes Brady Brees Rodgers Rivers I think I'm probably taking Wilson next. There are several QB's who could pass him up this year or at least close the gap. Lamar Jackson has looked so much better than I thought, but still can't throw like an NFL QB needs to. Matty Ice...should be a nickname for how cold he gets at times. Big Ben is in that group. Dak I just think has the perfect job in the NFL. I think if you put a guy like Josh Allen there, that team would have an even bigger upside. Carson Wentz has the ability to take that next step, but since he hurt his ACL, he hasn't. Jimmy G, Watson, Baker Mayfield..are some guys who could pass him with another really strong year. I still don't trust Jimmy G even though he just wins(11-2 as a starter now). Watson meanwhile looks like a stud, but he has the Olympic 4X100 track team out there, PLUS Hopkins, arguably the best WR'er in the NFL. So I'd say coming into the season he was behind Arod/Mahomes/Brees/Brady/Big Ben/Luck and Rivers(who I believe is chronically underrated, maybe because his throwing motion looks just atrocious).

I guess I'd have to go back and see it, but I do NOT think people are giving nearly enough credit to Lindsay on that play. That's a tough back who made a GREAT play there. That Risner may have helped him, he didn't pull him away from Lowry, I think he was kinda starting to go down after spinning away from Lowry and Risner caught him and then as Lindsay spinned he helped push him into the endzone. I still haven't watched a replay of the play, so I'm not absolutely positive, but that was my recollection. -----Edit-Damn....you're absolutely right. He literally did just grab him and throw him into the endzone. That's a 5 point suplay in Wrestling(speaking of which, everyone needs to google Chris Taylor Suplay on Youtube. Chris Taylor was about 420 pounds wrestling a guy 200 pounds less than him. Just an incredible video. Anyway, you were 100 pct right. I do think Lindsay did a great job, but Amos would have had to have stopped both Risner and Lindsay's progress on that play and that wasn't gonna happen. Clark needs to hang on to that leg there. He was a former wrestler. Shouldn't be that hard for him. This all kinda stems from a larger point which was that the Packers did not tackle great vs the Bronco's. That was true. There were too many times when the Packers had a guy bottled up and instead of stopping the guy, it seemed like too many guys were trying to rake the ball out rather than the first guy or two just wrapping up and then the 3rd guy coming in trying to rip the ball out, ala Clay Matthews 2007(?) vs the Vikings when he stole the ball from Adrian Peterson. But they've shown they can tackle, it just feels like they got a little too greedy trying to get another takeaway. -
They just need to get rid of the endless fouling during the final 2-minutes of the game which makes the game extend for about 30-min. The last 2-minutes of any basketball game is the worst part of the sport. If they could get rid of this it would be great but I understand the strategy behind this it just slows the game down completely and is usually unnecessary and just extends the time the game is played versus actually deciding the outcome of the game. I am not sure how you fix this or if you can. There's really no way to stop this. I mean, you're fundamentally changing the way the game is played in either circumstances.

I've never gotten that aggressive....I mean, I do the talk really loud so the people can hear me thing while I sit down. But these people are in their 60's(and this was like 5-6 years ago). And they share the tickets. And we're all respectful...we sit for 85 pct of the game. They are pretty good tickets. About 1/3rd of the way up on about the 40. But yeah, there are a thousand things that make the Packers better than any other franchise. Everyone HAS to go to Lambeau at some point. If I ever start a charity, I'm going to pay for people to get to see a Monday Night Game in Lambeau. It's surreal. Best stadium I've ever been to. But just a really reserved atmosphere. And you're right, they're too old of a fan base. These people also knew my Grandma(whom I got the tickets from as everyone else in the family was dumb enough to pass up on them...I was literally like 9th in line, 5 sets of Aunts and Uncles, 4 cousins who are older, all passed) and my Grandpa, so "confronting" them seemed too uncomfortable. I don't think so. Even Bears games, you're only talking about maybe 10 pct, 15 pct of the stadium are Bears fans. Given how Packers fans travel, or how spread out they are, I bet that's right in line with how many Packers fans go to Seattle or KC games. I've been to each once and I never really took inventory of how big of a Packer presence there was at those games, but it was incredible how it was like a College Atmosphere almost. They just all go crazy. You look at Seattle Sports, they go nuts for any team. The MLS team they sell out, the Sonics...they were great fans. They didn't lose the team because the fan base wasn't involved like Rays fans. They were fanatical. But you see SOO many fewer older people. I'd guess the average age of a Packer fan AT Lambeau is 55-60 years old. The average age of a Seahawks fan is probably 40 years old...and you can't hear yourself think during the game. It's really nuts. You don't hear about teams having to practice the silent snap when coming into GB....DESPITE the fact that they actually built the stadium(or at least the last two parts of the renovation so it'd be louder). I guess it shouldn't bother me since I can't even be bothered to go to most games anymore. I just give the tickets to an uncle and ask them to pay me after the games and I usually get about 80 pct of the money back. There was this guy on the Milwaukee area news a few weeks ago who put out a ad saying he was willing to buy season tickets for at least 10K and he would even go through the whole ordeal of having to marry someone, guy or women(because otherwise you can't just give the tickets away to the highest bidder, it has to e family). -

I went to a Packers game...the year they won back to back games vs Minny 34-31. The one I was at was the game where they were up 31-17 and blew the lead and then Longwell hit a last second FG to win. I get migraines. Too many concussions...I just get them and when I do, I need to take medication and I need to just sit down for a while. So I went to the bathroom, took one of my pills and then sat there for about 25 minutes. Finally, I went back to the game as it started to subside(which I guess means it wasn't a migraine, but it was a bad headache). While in the bathroom, I could smell someone was smoking in there. Not even getting high, just smoke like cigarette smoke. I walk out of the stall after puking and just feeling miserable and this fat old guy is standing outside the stall. I don't really think much of it. I walk out, go stand by the garbage and throw away the pill package. They come in like an Imodium type thing. This clown grabs me...he works for CSC....which I used to work in college. He wants to "search me." I blew him off and start walking away. He grabs me and calls the police over. The Cops then search me, which is embarrassing and then despite not having done anything wrong, they throw me out of the game(so I missed the two Vikes TD's and the FG). So yeah, that was the last season I went to every game I think. Other than that, it's just occasionally. Oh, and they also threatened to take my season tickets away from me. And frankly, I wouldn't even mind. I somehow ended up with them, 6 of them per game, and I've got to come up with like...I don't know, 4K every year. That's my experience at a Vikings game. -
Yes, this is an asinine idea. The game is exciting enough, moves fast enough and it's not like you're limiting the potential for injury. You're just saving a little bit of time. Can't wait for Giannis and the Bucks season to get started.

Title 9 has been great by in large, but it's also had unintended consequences for a lot of different Men's sports that they've just cut instead of adding Women's sports in order to maintain the ratio that they need to maintain. But you're right, they can eat whenever they want to, even in non-revenue sports, you get all the free clothes, food, all the rest of the crap that people don't realize. You've got to figure out if you want to appeal to the Ed Bannon's, or the couple of Duke/UK stars in CBB or the handful of big names in CFB or if you want to keep Student Athletes across the board. Is paying those few who the school IS obviously making money off of worth dismissing the 400-500,000 student athletes.

It's been painful watching FSU just go from 18 straight years finishing in the top 4 to being awful. I mean, they were the dominant team in CFB for a couple decades. NeBraska would pop up or Miami, but it was always FSU right in there like 'Bama is now, then they just always missed a FG. I think they lost about 4 or 5 Titles by going wide left and then a wide right. Which is funny giving all the good NFL kickers that have come from FSU. They still finish among the top 5 recruiting classes each year and Miami always has a ton of talent, but they can't seem to actually build a program. Even when Jumbo was there and they had that team that was so much better than everyone else, they still did everything they could in about half their games to lose it. The ACC is brutal now though.

I've said this before but I've lost interest in going. The in-person product sucks, without the distraction of getting a drink from your fridge, using your own bathroom or just watching a commercial, the constant stoppages and reviews and discussions of calls make the live product just an agonizing molasses experience. The price hasn't really come down all that much and I just have no desire to drive up there for $100+. What really did it for me, when I went from going to nearly every game to selling most of my tickets was when every game, no matter what situation it was, a 4th and 1 with the game on the line, every single time you stand up you feel these hands on your shoulder patting you, telling you to "sit down." It just drives me nuts. I'm thinking, I don't even want these damn tickets, but I drove 3 hours up to Green Bay, I have to come up with money for 6 tickets when it's not real convenient, and when you go there, you're basically getting people complaining about you standing up. Sooooo different than Seattle or KC or most stadiums. That's the reason the Packers don't have quite the same home field advantage as Seattle does for example. They've got a younger crowd, they're going nuts, nobody can hear the cadence. In Green Bay, it's so...reserved. And I've turned around and complained a few times, but it's not the same group of old people every time and now you're yelling at old people anyway saying, "hey, it's 4th and 1 on the Bears 20, I'm gonna stand for a minute," or whatever and they just get huffy. I don't know, maybe that's a cop out, maybe it's the 3 hour drive home after the game, knowing I'm gonna be a piece of crap the next day and get very little done, all the inconvenience. It's so easy to just sit down and watch the game in HD, pause it when I need to let the dogs out or I start to get nagged about something....order a pizza, have a few beers and sit back put the feet up and relax. It's just so much better than actually going to the game. -
Don't they get about $50K in swag, anyway? Yes, because "amateur athletics". I'm sure they would prefer cash... I don't care what they'd prefer. Unless you want to limit College athletics to a handful of College BB teams, a chunk of CFB teams and then almost no other sports, you can't start paying players.

Well, two of the extra teams last year would have been Georgia and Ohio State. Georgia played Alabama to a one score game, and Ohio State was fresh off a baby seal type clubbing of Michigan. Honestly, if either of those teams made the playoffs and won the whole thing, I wouldn't have been shocked. Those two teams were good enough to beat anyone on a given day. Hindsight is 20/20, but those two teams were better than Oklahoma or Notre Dame. To me the semi final bloodbaths aren't an indication not to go to 8. They were an indication that the committee got it wrong when selecting the final 4, and hence maybe even an argument to go to 8. An undefeated UCF would have been in the mix multiple years with a field of 8. They may have gotten clubbed by Bama in the opening round, but at least we would know for sure. Last year without their QB probably not the best example for them though. To me the Power 5 conference champs should all have a shot to advance. I think it was more an indication that there were really 3 elite teams last year and because of UGA losing to Alabama and only one SEC team getting in, the two Semi's were blowouts for that reason. You probably 10 DL on each team who'd be 1st round picks, a few backs who'd end up going in the 1st, two QB's who will likely be back to back 1st overall picks. You're not going to find many more talented runner up's than 'Bama from last year and they got destroyed by Clemson. So yeah, I think the top two were just that good.
