  1. Reds up 2-1 on the Cardinals. Reds got an Edgar Renteria 2 R HR and the Cards got a solo shot from Jon Jay. Bronson Arroyo's up, so the Reds probably need to score a fair bit more to pull out a W.
  2. I realize this will get censored too, but I just want to say that censoring people's opinions because they don't agree with the BF.net stance is a great way to get rid of a legitimate discussion. I'm a huge Brewer fan (contrary to my name - but I keep my own top 50 MiLB prospects and watch every game). I won't post as much. Delete this too, but I just want people to know.
  3. I disagree. He's a below replacement player, and with SS replacements like Hairston, the Brewers would almost certainly be a better ballclub. Then who's going to play second base? A platoon of Josh Wilson or Craig Counsell. While neither can hit, each offers defensive prowess and the potential for Taylor Green to PH in an offensive pinch. When Weeks come back, this answer becomes more obvious.
  4. I do. Because the aforementioned Brewer is a terrible baseball player. So you'd rather cheer for him to get hurt than for him to get on a hot streak? I'd rather cheer for him to be gone than the be playing. Hairston is a better baseball player, and I'll root for the better player to get playing time. I don't want him to suffer or anything, but a fluky streak would only have a below replacement player starting for us come playoff time. No Brewer fan wants that.
  5. Fine. I hereby root for Yuni to be magically removed from the roster. Injured or healthy is irrelevant. I just want him gone. Better?
  6. I disagree. He's a below replacement player, and with SS replacements like Hairston, the Brewers would almost certainly be a better ballclub.
  7. Are you serious??? No one wanted him to die, just be out for the season. Clearly this would make the team better, cheering for your favorite team to get better is fine. He is getting paid $6 MM this year, he will still earn it with a cast on his hand. This isn't little league So let me get this straight. You wanted a Brewer (and one who, from all reports, is a really nice guy) to lose the ability to do what he loves during a potential championship run? Nice. That's nice.I do. Because the aforementioned Brewer is a terrible baseball player.
  8. Are you serious??? No one wanted him to die, just be out for the season. Clearly this would make the team better, cheering for your favorite team to get better is fine. He is getting paid $6 MM this year, he will still earn it with a cast on his hand. This isn't little league Exactly. Barring a fatal hand injury, I'd be pretty happy about the whole thing.
  9. There ya go. And by batting Yuni here, RRR makes it official that Green will never, ever, ever bat.
  10. Let's play for extras after we tie it up (knockonwood). Right now, it's the 9th versus your biggest divisional rival. Play for right now.
  11. You mean for Yuni right? He plays SS?Hairston does. Although you can always substitute in the event of a tie. Who worries about defense when you have the opposing team trying to convert a save?
  12. STOP BUNTING MORGAN. DEAR GOD THIS IS GONNA GIVE ME A STROKE
  13. They should use the park factors to their advantage in combination with the starters' GB rates. Marcum, for example, is a crazy FB pitcher. That means he should pitch on the road versus the Braves and at home against the Phillies/D'Backs, since Turner Field suppresses HRs in comparison to Miller Park whereas Citizen's Bank is a shoebox and the air in the D'Backs stadium means every flyball leaves the yard.
  14. Don't forget about one of his most memorable Nellie's Nugget, when trying to say Claudio Vargas should throw lots of strikes "Vargas pounds meat" "Prince just got fisted." - Uecker on an inside pitch to Prince. Ewwwwwwwwwwwww...... Nothing good can come of this conversation.
  15. And Brewers live gets its first NC-17 rating.Don't forget about one of his most memorable Nellie's Nugget, when trying to say Claudio Vargas should throw lots of strikes "Vargas pounds meat" What if Davey Nelson was just a genius and he's bored at work, so he tries to make as many sexually poignant comments as possible and laughs that no one fires him over it?
  16. O sorry, missed that. It is runs scored per game per team. The NL this year is 4.15, the Brewers are 4.46 and in games Roy Halladay starts his opponents score 3.2 R/G.Interesting. I appreciate the data, it's completely against what I would assume. However, I think you understand my beef with RRR and the sheer number of bunts/hit and runs/squeezes/etc?
