  1. I completely disagree with that, I have been doing a lot of reading up on nutrition/working out lately. Although I wouldn’t call myself an expert by any stretch, P90X is set up is for exactly that, building lean muscle why shredding body fat. If you follow the nutrition guide and eat right you won’t be using your muscles as fuel.
  2. It says he can start throwing again in 2 weeks. Im not sure how long it takes but i was thinking he would be ready by April 6th, or at least 16th.
  3. Well i guess we are starting the year on a 4 man rotation, Grienke will just the be the one getting skipped
  4. Suppan, killing the brewers both when he was with us and against us
  5. Id love if Rivers won the backup catcher job, and i hope Cruz makes the roster as some more options if Bentacourt is as bad as advertised.
  6. Bank!! Wisconsin seems to be finding ways to come back and win games more so this year than in the past. Hopefully that translates to better tournament performance.
  7. Thats what makes the most sense to me. You dont need a right hand to catch pitchers, even if you cant throw the ball back right away. Get aquainted with the new pitchers. I dont see how you can agravate or re-injure a break unless you brake it again which the risk is the same as before.
  8. No - they wouldn't risk re-injuring the finger.Yeah, kinda figured, but I was hoping that he just put his right arm/hand behind his back. Hury back Lucroy. whats really the risk of re-injuring a broken finger. isnt the only way to re-injure a break to break it again which hes at risk of anytime. Cant they splint it up and still have him catch and get used to the pitchers? have some fan standing next to him to throw the ball back. Thats just me, a broken pinky isnt keeping me out of much, swinging the bat is probably impossible tho.
  9. i actually liked it, was scared it would be all Fielder talk. Kruk likes the Brewers a lot it sounds like Later in show talking about yankees: "thats pretty much a youthamism, you know what that is Kruk dont you" Kruk- "no, no i clearly dont" they both had such serious faces. that actually made me lol.
  10. I dont think Wisconsin will drop much. Purdue also just beat Ohio State.
  11. 12 mbs is about average which is actually quite fast. I havnt used MLB tv but i would guess that is sufficent. Just out of curiosity, did you watch ESPN3 on your computer or through your TV. If on your computer, it was probaly you computers graphics card not being able to keep up rather than your Internet. You would want to stream it through your TV unless you have a expensive or built your own computer with good graphics.
  12. I think they are fun to watch, winning is fun to watch. Ausome win today. #1 Ohio state does not want to come to madison ever again.
  13. AAA at 1st base. I guess wouldnt be agaisnt him staying at 3rd moving McGehee to 1st next year if he can improve his defense. But AAA, he shoudn't sit on the big league bench.
  14. This sets up Cubs fans nicely for another disappointing year. At least before this trade they didn’t have any real expectations, now im going to hear about how they are going to win the division. So when they don’t, I guess this will make it all the worse. (this does I think set them up better for the future in maybe 3 years but then again, they are the Cubs)
  15. I dont think he is as bad as most people on here think. (by this i do not mean to argue that he is very good because he is obviously not) Im OK with giving him a shot and i think it looks like Melvin is leaving some money for a midseason acquisition and if hes as terrible as many of you think, we can hopefully make a move. I would certainly not be against still singing a defensive SS but im OK with giving him a shot on a short leash.
  16. well if you make me pick a concern going into a season: starting pitching, hitting/lineup, bullpen, or depth. Im very happy the answer is depth. Although you could add defense to that...
  17. All of our starters are under the age of 30 on the big league team, our top 3 starting pitvhers are under 30 and we have a lot of young arms in the bullpen. Our farm system might be pretty weak but is that really a big deal at the moment? we have a good team for a while in my opnion and if we can extend the contracs of our stars, then we get loaded with draft picks for loosing them and we rebuild our farm system.
  18. Braun is still new to the outfield vs other players that have been playing outfield their whole life. I expect him to get steadily better in getting jumps on balls and get more used to warning tracks/walls. I think throwing accuracy was a problem for him in the infield too so i dont think that will get much better.
  19. I think it will be Gallardo as well, nothing wrong with Greinke as #2
  20. Carlos Pena being a looser in this deal made me lagh, hes 3-for-27 with 14 strikeouts against Greinke, and of course hes a Cub.
  21. We have all the chips on our side, even if we dont contend, we got players we can unload and restock our farm system in no time. If we do contend and let the players go, we get high draft pick. Otherwise we sign them longterm and have a solid team long term. Maybe need a rebuilding year in there but either way we got Braun and Gallardo for long time. And we got a real contender for the short term.
  22. I think whatever money Melvin has to play with should go to improving SS. I can happily live with Gomez playing CF, if he can improve some at the plate, play excelent D, and steal some bases, im happy. I think he fits well with Roenicks way of playing so maybe he can have a break out year. Worse case senario, we keep him stuck at 8th in the order where he cant really hurt us much.
  23. I would if it didnt take a whole lot more with him, seems like getting a solid bullpen pitcher is much easier than good SP. Would be tough to loose him tho.
  24. Too bad they coudnt pull off that come back. Would of been very nice back-to-back wins. Maggette defense doesnt please Skiles at all but i i think he got minutes early in the year in spite that. He hasnt been as productive offensivly as of late so i think hes on the bench until he improves defensively, or until our offense gets bad enough that he gets minutes. Thats kind of Skiles way and it seems to work pretty well.
