    i'm getting daron's webcast thru this link: Darn it, I looked at the gameday audio page and they didn't have a link for the early game, but now they do. Grr. Although apparently all I missed was another OotBS award for Eveland. Yeesh. I don't rememer Hart at 3rd either.

    hopefully his job was not locked in Seriously people, please get a grip. On a different note, the national anthem today was a complete trainwreck. I wavered between stunned silence and laughter as I was listening. Absolutely horrific.

    Sorry if I offended you RoCo, I wasn't trying to be that in your face or anything. Brian's used the soup nazi pic multiple times, so I really didn't think anything of it. I've edited my response. In terms of the thread subject, it just seemed like Hall threads were popping up all over, when the discussion could really be contained within a thread or 2, and I was trying to keep things consolidated.

    BTW, don't buy the propaganda that this is a bad year for movies. While the mainstream films released this year were mediocre, it's been a fantastic year for indie films and documentaries. In fact, I'd probably say this is one of the strongest years for film I've seen in several years. That's so true. There haven't been that many good big studio movies, but there are a ton of small gems out there.

    More movie goodness: Mad Hot Ballroom An endearing look at an NYC 5th-grade program that has all kids take a ballroom class, culminating in a city-wide competition. Cute kids, and fantastic results in terms of confidence and self esteem. The Constant Gardener Just got back from this actually, but it's out on DVD this Tuesday. Great film. Beautiful, wonderful cinematography. I was sitting there thinking "this looks like a heck of a lot like City of God, and when I looked it up on imdb, lo and behold it's the same director! I pat myself on the back for that one. Or maybe I'd heard it somewhere and unconsciously remembered. Anyway, if you've seen that, expect more of the same. Ralph Fiennes is pitch-perfect, as usual. Highly recommend.

    Kat just jogged my memory on a few of those. I agree Murderball was great, incredible what those guys are doing. I'm looking foward to seeing Parrots and Grizzly as well. As for Serenity, I thought it was pretty good, and the effects were great, but it seemed a little weak on plot and had a little bit of cheesy B-movie feel at times. I'm sure it was especially good if you watched Firefly.

    I was just going to resurrect this thread myself. You're not alone homer, I've heard several people comment on Skeleton Key, which I utterly dismissed when it came out, but I'm not much for horror movies either, and that's what it looked like. My Date with Drew A documentary made by a guy with a lifelong crush on Drew Barrymore. He wins 1100 on a game show whose winning answer is.. yep, Drew Barrymore. He then buys Circuit City's most expensive video camera, planning to return it after 30 days, and sets out to try and get one date with Drew Barrymore. It's touching, funny, and fantastic. I actually visited the website when they were trying to do this back in '03, and it's great to see the result. Highly recommend. Merchant of Venice It didn't blow me away, but it was ok. Fun to see Al Pacino chewing up Shakespeare.

    Ralph, I'd give it a day or 2 just to make sure, then email ezboard. I had an issue with mine 6 mo. ago, and they were good about dealing with it.

    This may or not be related, but I had a similar problem a month or two ago with another site I visit regularly. I couldn't access that site, and only that site. However, if I used a web proxy (e.g. anonymizer.com), it worked just fine. I did a search and found that sometimes if you have broadband with dynamic IP set up, weird things can happen. The article just suggested that you see what your current IP was and set a static IP to that address, but I actually just waited for a week or something and it magically cleared itself up. So, just on the off chance that it's the same kind of problem, try going through a proxy site and see if you can access it then.
