  1. There were two lefties following Urias. With the 3 batter minimum Hoby will almost always have to face atleast 1 righty in an outing
  2. Yea I think this list is a pretty fair ranking and expectation. 17th isn't great or awful. It's slightly below average with potential to move up or down
  3. It's not great but I think awful is a bit of a stretch. I think this rotation is roughly middle of the pack with some breakout potential(Hall, Gasser Ashby), and some bust potential as well. Honestly this rotation could finish top or bottom 10 and I wouldn't be that surprised
  4. Of course, this is all in the context of sports fandom, nobody is saying Counsell leaving has ruined their life or anything but people saying Brewer fans shouldn't feel a certain type of way towards Counsell are ignoring the basic human nature. Counsell grew up a Brewer fan and in the city of Milwaukee and then left to go to their biggest rival and called it his "dream job". Of course most Brewer fans are going to be upset about that and most humans would react in a similar manner. Counsell is an adult who is free to make decisions on his own accord and you're right that he doesn't know who I am and he doesn't know who you are but trying to tell people how they should or shouldn't feel about it is just odd to me.
  5. Lol. So apparently it's never ok to get upset at someone for saying one thing and then doing another because they just changed their mind.
  6. Sure he can change his mind, but when someone say something and people believe them it's ok for the people who got spurned to feel a type of way. Thats a human thing too
  7. The marketing team definitely leaned into it as well but Counsell in interviews and press conferences also talked about how special it was to be a Brewer. It wasn't solely the marketing team, Counsell definitely leaned into it as well
  8. The difference between Counsell & other players is how Counsell himself talked about being a Brewer. About how special it was to get a chance to manage the team he grew up rooting for in the city he grew up in. He seemed to lean fully into the Brewer for life idea and fans built on that. Then he not only left, he left for our biggest rival when the Brewers offered to make him the highest paid manager in baseball Counsell is different from other players and managers
  9. It's interesting to me that he seemingly is getting alot more time at 3b as opposed to 2b
  10. Going to Cleveland or New York would have sucked but fans would have gotten over it. Going to your teams biggest rival when you supposedly are a lifelong fan of that team is on a completely different level
  11. I might not make millions but doubling my yearly salary would change my life significantly and I would rather stay in Wisconsin than go to Chicago and double my salary. It's just a pet peeve of mine when people say you can't blame him because we would all make the same choice when I know that simply isn't true
  12. He left for 25% more than what the Brewers offered. I would have gladly accepted being the highest paid manager of the team I grew up rooting for. It'd be different if he didn't grow up in Milwaukee or rooting for the Brewers but he did so it's very easy to relate to him in that sense since those same things apply to myself. I love living in Wisconsin so a chance to be the highest paid manager in the game for the team I grew up rooting for in a place I love living, there's no chance I'd pass that up.
  13. Not all of us would make the same decision he made. Someone could offer to double my salary and I would not move to Chicago. My wife and I are very happy where we live, while money drives some people it doesn't drive all people
  14. I could see him coming back at the end year of the season to pitch out of the bullpen. Him starting this season at all seems unlikely
  15. I think this is pretty spot on. I think all 4 of the Brewers, Cubs, Cardinals, and Reds have a chance to win the Central this year, and the Pirates won't be as terrible as years past. A lot of it will likely come down to how teams perform in 1 run games, injury luck, and how well young players acclimate to the big leagues. A major question for me from the Brewers end of things has to do with their record in 1 run games the last few years. Was that Counsell truly being better than his counterparts or was he simply just implementing the information that was given to him.
  16. Where did you see the club option stuff?
  17. Contreras DH'd over 60 times last season. It doesn't seem worth it for what would end up being a one game emergency where they would have to give up the DH. I'd rather keep flexibility with an extra outfielder or infielder.
  18. I actually wonder if for this season Woodruff helps out of the bullpen late in the year. That way they don't have to waste a month in the minors building up his innings. If he comes back near Sept 1 he could slide into a bullpen spot
  19. Woodruff won't really help at all in 2024 but bringing him back could be a real boost to 2025. Plus it's overall just fun to keep him in a Brewers uniform
  20. It's Fanatics brand. I wear the stuff all the time
  21. Alot of people seem to hate fanatics and I don't want to dismiss their experiences, but I will say I've ordered a ton of stuff from fanatics( example I have over a dozen Bucks championship tshirts) and I've never really noticed lackluster quality
  22. I just want to say the difference between 90% and 68% is extremely large
  23. This whole thing reminds me of when NBA players complained about the game ball when Wilson took over for Spalding. We heard about it for a few weeks and them everyone forgot about it and now players never complain.
