  1. rough start for Hammond (Stars), down 2 runs in the first already
  2. the BA rankings listed..those are preseason, correct?
  3. W Tenn loses, Stars lose..rubbermatch
  4. well that was interesting.. another strikeout with a player out of the batters box
  5. Stars hang on for the win. One more road win still necessary.. hard to believer with all this hitting talent, they might still lose the division.
  6. i'm not sure what tavarez showed in the 11th that made anyone think he shoudl be back in the 12th
  7. I would really like them to use Parra as a PH if the situation called for it..
  8. when you think of how long Prince watched that ball fly plus his motioning while running the bases, its quite possible he could have come home regardless if he was running from the get go
  9. Update: Jaxx up 7-2 in the 8th, Stars win Gamel definitely has the yips.. his 6th error in about a week now
  10. Pretty good, but this line needs some work: It is a boot camp in the computer sense of the word "boot": launch.
  11. my guess is Mat has the 'yips' again. That's 5 errors this week after a really solid start..
  12. 4 years (5 is for those coming from HS), but yeah
  13. I'm not sure why Braun & Pence are so close in voting (within 3% of each other). Braun blew him away their rookie years. They have nearly identical BA & OBP, but Braun is killing him in HRs and OPS.
  14. Hart plays a weak defensive position and doesnt have eye-popping numbers in a single category. He's never been in the top 5 of HRs, BA, or steals. He had no hype coming into the league. He is a great all-around player, but in right field, it will be a while before anyone else notices him outside of Milwaukee.
  15. hmmm, so some (or one?) people on a big message board said they doubt he would make it (no doubt after looking at his batting stats alone), while others think the should be inserted? hmmm, must be the same person
  16. I'd rather throw away a hitting prospect than a top pitching prospect
  17. right now my complaints on Braddock and Laporta's seasons so far looks like pure genius
  18. yeah, I would definitely not be worried about a manager losing 2 or 3 on his own bad decisions. But I don't feel Yost is in that category. I think he's a closer to the 20 number you mentioned.
  19. in this case, we can replace Ned with a Magic 8 ball, a Ouija board, or Ned's hat (the one that decided playing Hall earlier in the year).
  20. He's been taking quite a few subtle jabs at Yost in his articles lately. Definitely showing a little more grit than normal. I like it. In this age of formulaic three-out saves by major-league closers There's really only so far he can go while still keeping a repoire with the club
