  1. Way to do your homework. Jason Bourgeois and Joe Koshansky sure are bigtime prospects. Why does he need to get better? His MLE's have him as an above average starter at 3B, SS, 2B, LF, and RF. Plus he HAS been better this season than any other... Some people can be so blind at times...
  2. When can we end the Burns experiment? Oh wait it is just the first inning and I shouldn't jump the gun here! Go offense!!!
  3. Get use to it with Lopez... Arizona figured it out and couldn't get rid of him soon enough!
  4. The track record on Lopez is that he is a dog... A lazy player who will not recieve a multi year offer from any other team... The DBacks couldn't get rid of him soon enough despite his current numbers and the fact that they need a 2B. Even St. Louis was willing to try Shumaker at 2B and didn't offer Lopez a long term deal after putting up great numbers the 2nd half of last year... From everything I have read and heard here in Arizona, the DBacke were looking for the first taker (sucker)! Put me down for NOT liking this deal!
  5. I am sorry, but this is not a playoff team... This is a comedy of errors... Go ahead and rip me for jumping the gun today but this team finds new ways to lose games.
  6. Little leaguers will play that type of ball better at the HR derby...
  7. Brewers remain interested? See bottom of page 4! http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/articles/2009/07/12/who8217s_in_the_halladay_spirit/?page=4
  8. As much as it should happen it won't... Stetter should come in to face Loney but he won't... Most big league managers just don't have the guts to do it when they have a "closer"... Now if we can get Hardy in here we better see Stetter facing Loney in the 9th!!!!
  9. As much as it should happen it won't... Stetter should come in to face Loney but he won't... Most big league managers just don't have the guts to do it when they have a "closer"...
  10. Don't sweat it BrewCrew! It for reasons such as this that many people don't participate in the IGT anymore...
  11. Not sure if it's drastic enough for you, but Turnbow had a pretty sizable dropoff from 2005 to 2006. There have been instances in the past where that's been done. Certainly something that can be done in the future as well. i don't really know what's worse... Someone saying "game over" in the 3rd inning or the numerous posts bothering to comment on it afterwards?
  12. I would do everything possible to keep Prince in a Brewers uniform for a long time.... Build each year around the "triplets" Braun, Gallardo, and Fielder! What teams have a better young threesome than that? A true #3 hitter, a true #4 hitter and a true ace!
  13. I would much rather bring Heether up instead of wasting anything on Lopez...
  14. Lopez is a dog... A lazy player... He has been the talk of sports radio in the Phoenix area in regards of whom they NEED to get rid of first! Mark Reynolds said as much recently when he "called out some teammates for their lazy play"... http://www.azcentral.com/sports/diamondbacks/articles/2009/07/04/20090704dbacksreynolds0705.html Think about it... Lopez is hitting .300 while batting leadoff and playing a position where Arizona has no depth... He is on a 1 year deal and Arizona is not even considering offering him any sort of deal for next year... I would not touch him!
  15. With an off day next week, McClung better not get another start for awhile!!!
  16. From AZ Central online: Doesn't look like Haren is going anywhere... http://www.azcentral.com/sports/diamondbacks/articles/2009/07/01/20090701dbharen0702-CR.html
  17. It is my understanding that he is solid at 3B, average at 2B, and serviceable at SS...
  18. Brewers could be interested... http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com/archives/2009/06/brewers_to_take_a_look_at_back.html
  19. It's still inexcusable for Burns to have let him hit a homer. The problem wasn't the Home Run, it was walking the lead off hitter and falling behind 2-0 on Wright and throwing him a batting practice fastball the next pitch... Burns fell behind in the count alot against Minnesota which also got him in trouble! I am very happy he was able to turn it around tonight but I will reserve my judgement on him until he has a few more outings like this... Let's keep this in prospective as the Mets lineup is ravaged by injuries at this time... Great job by the offense tonight!!!
