  1. GREAT JOB BURNS!!!! You have definately earned another start!
  2. Well us Brewer fans sure know the feeling... We have been beat by our fair share of AAAA pitchers over the years... Seems we do better against the star pitchers!
  3. Why do pitchers continue to pitch to Pujols? He has 2 more HR's tonight! 30 on the year! Still 6-3 Giants tho....
  4. Thanks for making me eat my words thus far Mr. Burns!!!
  5. i didn't say he was horrible... he is what he is... AAAA Just my honest opinion of him! I hope he does well because we don't have much else! I was asking my same question about the comments. The early posts were saying how lopsided the pitching matchup was but then are surprised when one of the best hitters in the game hits a home run. He is a 5th starter in the league and happens to be matched up against a stud. Santana has been hittable at times. Some just make comments sometimes like the brewers should never be down in a game. I never implied that... I was just disappointed that the Brewers fell down 2-0 early against a pitcher like Santana...
  6. Problem is that you immediately dig a 2-0 hole against Santana... Not a good recipe for victory! Of course it's not. It wouldn't be against anyone. It was mentioned earlier that this may be on of the most lopsided pitching matchups ever. It's just too early get down on the team though. I have learned never to get down on this team! We just need to squeeze a run across soon!

  8. i didn't say he was horrible... he is what he is... AAAA Just my honest opinion of him! I hope he does well because we don't have much else!
  9. Thanks for the info! The list is great! I wasn't aware of the age cutoff!
  10. All I know is that he is raking at AAA this year... I guess the recent success of McGehee has me curious about what Adam Heether can bring to the big league club... IMO he is far more interesting then the likes of Dillard, Swindle, Wright... Just wanted to give Adam a plug since he is often overlooked!
  11. Dare I say Adam Heether?
  12. Point being that Atlants has some good young pitching coming up including Hanson. They need some offense but probably won't give up the young pitching to get it.
  13. What about Javier Vasquez from Atlanta? He is 32 and his contract runs through next year (11.5 M for 2010)... He has a 3.02 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 125 K's in 106 IP... Atlanta is now in 4th place in the East even with the top teams struggling...
  14. Especially for Jose Yepez! He gave up 5H, 5 ER, 4HR's in 1/3 of an inning... His ERA now stands at 135.00
  15. That High Desert score was crazy!!!
  16. Rogers came out to start the 4th but was pulled after he walked the first batter and hit the second... Lluberes works out of it though! Still a nice outing for Rogers!I would have loved to see how he would have responded to the adversity of 2 on with no out!
  17. Mark Rogers with a REALLY nice first inning!!! Palm Beach Top 1st •Adron Chambers strikes out swinging. •Colt Sedbrook strikes out swinging. •Aaron Luna strikes out swinging Edit: Rogers now with 3 shutout innings! No hits allowed, no walks, 4 k's, but he did hit one batter... NICE!!!!
  18. We may need to find a new "lefty specialst"! Stetter may be earning his way to be our closer next year!
  19. Any thoughts on Wandy Rodriguez? Would Houston let him go if they insist on keeping Oswalt? I believe he has 2 arby years left after making 2.6M this season... His numbers have improved year by year or so it appears to me...
  20. Micro tear of the bicep for Bush... Happened when he took the line drive off his arm against florida... Link http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/48934967.html
  21. Another solid outing for Josh Butler thus far tonight! He continues to impress!
  22. After watching Cleveland play the Brewers the past 3 days it is clear to me that they have plenty of offense... They seem to really need pitching... Could the Brewers go after Cliff Lee with an offer of Parra, Cody, Dillard, and Butler? I understand that Cleveland does not have to move Lee but I think his value is definately at it's peak, especially with all the other top available starters going down day after day! Who else is left?
