    Why was Davis batting for himself in the bottom of the 7th if he wasn't going to come back out to pitch??? Maybe I am missing something here... Please help me if anyone has an explination!!!

    MLB Gameday is how I follow the game... I prefer it to ESPN... I find ESPN has too many delays in between pitches, then makes them up 10 at a time...

    Six solid innings for Santos!!! But he is up to 109 pitches... He is also due up third this inning... Does Nedly pinch hit for him??? and with whom??? Oh the suspense!!!!

    Mav's win!!! 3-1.... Manny with the win... All four hits off Parra were singles.... He threw 92 pitches in his 8 innings of work... He was dominant, especially for the California league.... (Slack gave up 1 run in the 9th but got the save)

    The Mav's score 3 runs in top of the 9th and the Mav's take a 3-0 lead... Manny gave up just 4 hits in 8 shutout innings, while stirking out 6.... We are headed to the bottom of the 9th and Nick Slack has replaced Manny.... Great Job Manny!!! See you in Huntsville soon!!!!

    Maybe it is just me, but I found it odd that Acevedo was allowed to hit and wasn't pinch hit for... 1) He allowed 5 runs in the first... 2) They had runners on second and third with 2 outs... They had a chance to get back in the game quickly... 3) It's not like they have to worry about over-working their bullpen with the all-star break coming up... Well the Reds must expect to have alot of scoring opportunities today... Maybe the baseball gods say don't do it(Pinch hit for the pitcher this early) but if their ever was a time, it was then...

    I for one hope Johnson doesn't get traded to the American league... We can sure use him to cause fits for the remaining Wild Card contenders in the west!!!!

    Ben Sheets is awesome... I know he leads in ERA but I am sure Randy Johnson has 145 k's while our Ben has 133 K's... I thought I read on a prior post the Sheets leads in both ERA and strikeouts.... Well it doesn't really matter... I can honestly say I wouldn't trade Sheets for ANY pitcher in MLB right now!!!! I am glad he is ours... Lets lock him up!!!!

    Hendrickson needs to be in Milwaukee, Housman needs to see if his stuff is good enough for AAA (it definately seems to be good enough for AA), and Parra needs to see time at AA... I really hope these moves happen soon....

    Hey everyone, I just got back from watching the first few innings of the AZ Brewers vs AZ Angels... Mark Rogers was on the mound... Here is how it went... Bottom of first: Infield single (chopper up the middle) K (Swinging, no contact in at bat) K (Swinging, no contact in at bat) Runner caught stealing to end inning Bottom of second: Broken bat bloop single to left (more like shattered bat) Infield single on slow grounder to second E4 (maybe infield single to second again. Call could have gone either way, but no scoreboard or announcer for official scoring) Run scored on bad throw. Bloop single down first base line, just fair... Run scored Sac.Fly... Run scored Caught stealing Walk K to end inning... Rogers was taken out after this extended inning... His final line appears to be: 2 IP 4 H 3 R (??? earned) 1 W 3 K's All in all I was very impressed with his stuff, although after giving up a couple of bloop hits on fastballs he started to throw alot of curves. It is a very HOT day in AZ (Approx 100 degrees+ at game time)... Being from Maine I can't imagine he was to comfortable out there... With all do respect to all the other Baby Brewers, it was too hot for me to stay....

    Hey guys, I am going to make the trek to the AZ Brewers game today... I had a little trouble finding the location, as it turns out the Angels play the rookie ball at Gene Autry Park in Mesa.... Once they start their night games (Late July) they switch back over to Tempe... (Info, just in case any other locals are going).. I will report back later today!!!!
