  3. From Robert Murray: Corbin Burnes is moving to the bullpen for “a little while,” Craig Counsell said. The addition of Gio Gonzalez changed the equation. From Adam McCalvy: Corbin Burnes is back with the Brewers to pitch out of the 'pen. The thinking with him changed, Craig Counsell said, after the Gio Gonzalez signing. Here is VIDEO of Corbin Burnes discussing the move to the bullpen following tonight’s game.
  4. I’ve remained patient and positive, but there is no denying things look pretty grim for this group right now. Here is where the Brewers currently rank among NL teams in pitching stats so far through 32 games... Most earned runs allowed 2nd most hits allowed 2nd most walks allowed 2nd most HR allowed 2nd highest OPS allowed Most total bases allowed Fewest quality starts (just four total, next closest team has seven quality starts) There are plenty more stats that look atrocious, but I decided to stop there. It has been about the worst start to the season imaginable for the Brewers pitching.
  5. I got some swamp land to sell. You want in? Huh? I was correct... Bryan Shaw induces the inning ending double play off the bat of Travis (Shaw).
  6. Bases loaded two innings in a row, hopefully a much better outcome this time around.
  7. The Brewers in-game production staff apparently had some fun with the Burnes storyline tonight. While he warmed up they played Garth Brooks’ Friends in Low Places... The last one to know The last one to show I was the last one You thought you'd see there
  8. 86.3. MLB average is 87.4. Also, his Hard Hit % was actually above league average last year, but is a little below league average so far this season.
  9. What was there to makeup though? The call Senzatela and Butera were complaining about was a good call.
  10. Random connection... The Baltimore Orioles drafted both Donnie Hart (27th round in 2012) and Pat Connaughton (4th round in 2013). Needless to say they had higher hopes for Pat than Donnie.
  11. Credit Donnie Hart with keeping the Brewers in this one when things looked pretty bleak. Would be a nice emotional boost if the Brewers can find a way to steal it.
  12. Interesting indeed, which obviously means someone else was likely going to be optioned for tomorrow’s game.

  14. Well one thing I am 100% certain of is that you won’t see a series sweep tomorrow.
  15. Hader is amazing, but he has seemingly missed his spots more than I remember from last year. Even on several throws with innocuous results he is missing the targets given by Grandal.
  16. He probably has someone tracking the BF.net threads for him and then relaying the important details. I am sure he doesn’t have time to follow along himself the entire game.
  17. I love the irony of the fact Galarraga is credited with being the Jesús whisperer right before the series with the Rockies.
  18. I'm not really questioning whether this is true, but it's crazy to think the Rockies - as constructed - have one of the worst offensive lineups. Augilar!! That was a missile. Well this is their (lack of) output so far as compared to the rest of Major League Baseball...
  19. What a welcome difference it makes to go from playing some of the best offensive squads in the league (i.e. Dodgers, Cardinals, even the Mets) to playing one of the worst offensive lineups.
