  1. If used correctly that would give us one of the best "CF" in the game. That also does not take into account that they both are pretty good baserunners as well.
  2. Notice Gamel's OBP are all almost .100 points higher than his BA so he was still seeing the ball and being relatively patient at the plate. His power was negatively influenced, but that is expected even with some of the best LH hitters int he game.
  3. Not sure why my explanation of the topic did not show up? Thanks Prince for picking me up on that one. Anyways, Gamel until last year was really not a liability versus lefties. Jim Breen gave me this data: Gamel vs LHPs --> (2010) .237/.348/.421 (2009) .333/.390/.680 (2008) .358/.423/.543 (2007) .272/.348/.350 Those numbers, even though he has regressed at higher levels are still better than what Morgan gives you versus lefties. The only way I see this being an advantage is if Aoki hits lefties/righties similar because of his shoot the ball the other way style. If thats the case I am sure he will be a better RF than Hart or (Gomez in RF, Aoki in CF) and Hart should have no issues playing infield again. Also opens the door to if Hart continues this decline in foot speed so drastically. Maybe he will be at 1B everyday in 2013 (If Gamel flops) and that opens RF to Gindl or possible FA target.
  4. Kind of funny on this topic. Tonight Heyman tweeted about Cain/Timmy looking for extensions. I made a slightly sarcastic comment along the lines of "What news on a non-Boras client." Heyman followed that up by responding, and going all grade school on me. "I find the nastiest people have the fewest followers"! I found it hilarious because what I initially said was in no way offensive, demeaning, nasty, or in any way inappropriate. If anything he reiterated my point by his severe overreaction to a simple sarcastic remark.
  5. Exactly, and Gomez was injured during a portion of that too. If he would have been healthy all year it would have meant less AB's for Morgan versus lefties and likely more slugging with Gomez's increase in power. The question is roles if Aoki signs, and even more so in 2013 when Gindl and Schafer should be ready. We will have 4 LH bats that profile as fringe MLB starting outfielders. How does this all play out?
  6. Its not my money and the more players that have something to bring to the table the better. Schafer/Gindl could use the work at AAA either way to maybe play a role later in 2012 or in 2013.
  7. Yuni actually makes contact. His rarely strikes out he just has not patience and swings early in the count at horrible pitches. Gonzo has the contact issues which lead to high K numbers. If he plays elite defense much of that can be overlooked.
  8. Gamel has alot to do early in spring and then early on in the season to get half the fan base off his back.
  9. I am tired of reading Heyman say anything on Prince. It all is complete garbage. He was still reporting that the Brewers were in on Fielder (long term) a few weeks ago.
