  1. Still not as bad as led scoreboards by TLR. I just can't see complaining about something teams equally deal with. If that's the case it's not fair and dangerous that teams play day games because the sun is out and the ball could be lost in the sun...
  2. Honestly? Because there is no thread about Yuni or McGehee this year. Understandable I guess. However, neither Casey or yuni b were guaranteed 30M over the next three years. Weeks is going to get every chance to hit out of this, and that means all of this year and beyond.
  3. Just makes adults look foolish....
  4. Weeks is going to play nearly everyday for the rest of the year. Why even debate that?
  5. I think it's a great time for a full make over though. Dillard has no use in the pen as a RHP only. I think knitzler should take his spot. Henderson could be an option as well. (still scoreless) replace Juan Perez. Call up Peralta, fiers or TT as the spot starter. When Marco is back he could take Henderson, knitzler, or parra's bullpen spot or his 5th spot if no one has grabbed hold by then.
  6. Every time I see him hit into a hard out (two today) I just cringe. He needs a game where the all find grass to get some confidence back.
  7. Versus a tough RHP I could still see giving Izturis a start. Otherwise I think I will take the 300/400 end of Ransom's slash over what Izturis is likely to produce...
  8. Oh and I say both and dfa Dillard. If they must go parra.
  9. From the talk the question might be knitzler or Henderson?
  10. I guess go Corey full time at 1B get everyone else starts in RF/CF platoon. Get Green a start at 3B, 2B, and 1B 2-3 times a week, and get Bartlett from SD and put Izturis back in a never hit only defensive role. I think we can win with that. I actually like the idea of Adam Lind, but not sure the money and next year part work out. How well can he play OF? Lind would be replacing ishakawa in a sense and would allow Hart to stay in RF then as well.
  11. I fall right smack dab in the middle of this discussion. I am the college kid who goes to the game with a group of 10 every home stand. I usually limit the drinking because I care too much about the game, but I have been on the one too many side of thing as well. I would like to think if our group was being obnoxious or rude someone could say something and we could understand that the game is attended by children, etc and make adjustments. The issue in my mind is not "college" students in my opinion, it's the groups of college aged or under individuals with zero respect for what anyone else thinks or has to say. Anyways go free.
  12. I too would like Bartlett. Would be a good fit.
  13. Obviously if Estrada goes to the pen only one spot would be up for grabs, and I would on henderson first and then knitzler if he or someone else fails and you know he is healthy.
  14. Prince thanks. Just saw that on the minor league end of brew fan. Makes too much sense. Peralta will be fine in the rotation, Estrada has a role in the pen with limited upside as a starter. The pen needs to upgrade Dillard and chulk because RR uses them to frequently as it is. Henderson, knitzler would be the most likely choices. Henderson has earned it and Brandon is still on the 40 I believe.
  15. If I sign Grienke the first move is to trade Hart and hope better defense and an average bat in RF is what you get from gindl in 2012.
  16. Agreed. In my opinion you can call up Peralta, move Marco back to the pen, call up Henderson and remove chulk and Dillard. Then move Wooten and thorn to AAA.
  17. Clueless national pundits? If we ran the team only looking at one season at a time that thinking is logical. Oh yea the brewers have to field a team n 2014, 15, and after that too... I still think our on field performance is the last shot we have at Zach. Money could done, environment he likes, guys and coaches he likes... Show him a winning future and he might stay and let Hamels be LAD first huge signing.
  18. Anyone with insider have any idea what ESPN is reporting with the "big dough" line today?
  19. I have only been posting here for about a year, but it does seem like 95% of responses that are directed are usually directed at Briggs...
  20. I may be in the minority here, but I like gindl in RF, and Hart at 1B. Conrad could still be called up because ish is not a major league player offensively. I'll take a three way platoon in RF and 1B of Gindl, Hart, and Conrad. I think you easilly get the most offense daily, still serviceable defensively, and keep your of depth with aoki off the bench.
  21. Any one remember the west coast game I believe versus the angels a few years back. 1-1 forever til Craig scored late in the night for the win. That was a long next day...
  22. Yea unless you literally pull a ball on the line it's like hitting one of the restricted flight balls in softball...
  23. I would say if he got hurt when he banged into the wall I'm not concerned. If its prior to I would be concerned.
  24. What is gamel's babip? Seems he has stung a ton of outs. Including his first AB yesterday.
