  1. "Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez left Friday´s game in the bottom of the sixth inning after sliding awkwardly into third base. He has an apparent leg injury and was replaced by Jose Macias." Even better for the crew. Leg injuries usually take awhile.
  2. Thanks for the info guys. I didn't even think to check the starting lineup.
  3. Could anyone tell me why Craig Counsell left the game, and what happened on the crew's scoring play? I can't watch the game, because I'm at work, and my CBS gamecenter lists the play as such: "Counsell tripled to right, on right fielder Jones´ fielding error." Any account that would help me visualize this would be greatly appreciated
  4. Escobar is 5' and 100lbs? I read that an just grinned. Good for him. A little guy like that, and now he's a professional athlete.
  5. Nevermind, it was liver cancer.
  6. Dang, now I feel bad for calling him "washed up". I actually saw him perform in Madison when I was about 10 years old. How'd he die?
  7. C'mon now. Doug Jennings is 38 years old! How does this do ANYTHING positive for Indy? You might as well sign a guy like Ricky Henderson and put some butts in the seats. Besides, I thought Doug Jennings was a washed up magician.
  8. Sorry Brian, nothing offensive intended. I've never witnessed you "forcing" your religion on others, so technically I don't consider you a "bible thumper". I've no problem with a guy having a little religion, just when they preach it like those who don't are "just plain wrong".
  9. As an Agnostic, I generally laugh at these types (bible-thumpers/holy-rollers), but also understand that what ever makes his boat float is fine by me, especially if he can play. Now if he makes it to the bigs and they start showing "messages from god" featuring Greg Kloosdterman in the big screen at Miller Park, I'll throw a fit. Is this also why it was believed Al might not like this pick? Hm? (Not too many Agnostics floating around.)
