If Sheets looked fine I think it's time to sign that long term deal. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

I know the bat isn't worth much money but he was a very nice guy and was glad to give it to me. Good memory of that awesome 2003 season.

Sounds like it was fun. The experience at Beloit was like no other. It was a volunteer job and didn't get paid but the experience was awesome. My duties were just to fill up a jug of water for each bullpen and dugout, hang out in the dugout/on the field til game time, pick up bats during the game/give ump balls, and after the game empty out the water and that's about it. I am proud to say I batboyed for Prince, Weeks, and Tony Gwynn Jr. Got a Gwynn bat too with his name on the end and I had him sign it.

nodderman, very cool indeed. got to do the world series that means. Wouldn't mind being able to say that. Any other batboy stories I'd like to hear. Fun hearing them since I did it for Beloit for a few years like I said.

Hey batboy37, who are you a batboy for if one at all? I batboyed in Beloit for a few years. It was a blast. If you don't want to post that info on here you can email me....brewcrew19@wi.rr.com

Send Wes Helms to AAA. Why even put him as backup. Spring should be easier considering he's not facing top notch quality. Cirillo should be on the team over Helms. I think fans would be ecstatic to see him back in a Brewers uniform including me since besides Jenkins he's my favorite player. I don't anyone besides the local Krispy Kremes would shed a tear if Wes Helms began at AAA.

Yes I agree. I wish there was a free webcast for either game. I can see charging money in the regular season but in spring training I don't think they should. I've tried for both games and they both want you to pay.

I'd rather go with a third basemen or catcher considering we have plenty of outfielders and prospects for the outfield. But I guess we go for the best available prospect regardless of position so if we take him I won't be disappointed. I'd rather get a good 3rd base prospect but hope we make the right decision. I guess that's why I'm not in Doug Melvin's shoes.

Sad to see a former Snapper go. Better him than Stetter though.

Sorry about the music. I accidentally gave you the wrong song for Steve Moss. His song is Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. I had the wrong purple song in mind. Sorry for the inconveniences this may cause.

I have emailed the webmaster several times about the Player Music page to add some songs and switch others and have never seen any changed/added or gotten a reply. Whoever runs this site should take note of these and I'd love to see the page updated. It's a neat page. Anyone who knows Snappers walk up music not listed would be appreciated. Please pass these on to whoever runs that music page. Also, are there any minor league players who ever post on brewerfan.net? If so, what are their user names? Thanks! After going to tons of Snappers games I am delighted to see Money and Sauveur get this respect. They deserve it. Rich Sauveur has got to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met and Don Money is just a character. I will miss them a lot in Beloit as Money has managed for the last 6 years. Won't be the same without those guys and I wish them the best.

I see people have pictures as their little icon or whatever you want to call it. Just wondering how to get my own. Thanks.

Another player to watch who will go 1st round is Miami's SS Ryan Braun. If healthy could have a huge year. BA's freshman player of the year in 2003.

No. I would most certainly not call the abomination that I watched this evening a "game".

Helena defeated Ogden by a score of 10-2, knocking out thirteen hits and taking advantage of 5 Ogden errors. Looks like good pitching from Wahpehpah and Barnes, and good hitting from the bottom of the order. Hell freezes over when we get a hit with a runner on second.

you seem to be quite the pessimist, Mr. Nelson. Oh well, I suppose watching the brewers offense can do that to a person.

I like that Ned is getting creative with the lineup. Hopefully something can jumpstart this offense. I'm not so sure about Overbay in the five slot, but we'll see. Benny's location tonight has been downright bad. You don't need to put the ball over the middle of the plate with an 0-2 count.

How about giving them Wes Obermueller?

Beloit won 5-0. Durost pitched effectively for 5, followed by Montalbo for 4. Steve Moss had 2 doubles.

Indy lost 7-5. Krynzel went 3 for 5, with a double, a HR, and 3 RBI. Hart was 1 for 4 with a SB. Obermueller got the loss, going 6 innings, giving up 6 runs(all earned), 10 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts.

Wow. I didn't know Dave Burba was still on this team.

The Mavs held off Lancaster for a 7-6 win.

I would like to see Yost try out Wes as a contact-hitting Kieschnick type player. Move him to the pen for long relief and pinch hitting opportunities.
