  1. my fear is that the Brewers are going to hang in there just enough to be considered in the race but not far enough out where they can sell trading Sheets. They will end up a couple games out of the wild card and Sheets moves on and we get two picks. The picks are nice but I think you would have better odds on picking up guys that have proven alittle something in pro ball that you would receive via a trade.
  2. For one who has a kid I would hardly call this injury bizarre. Anyone who has kids that have fallen asleep near them has gotten the "worst cramp ever" or "unreachable itch". Having tweaked my shoulder doing some what the same thing I can empathize with Brandon.
  3. I hate Westbrook as a pick, later in the 1st round yes, at #8 a 4th guard off the bench isnt exactly something to get excited about. He is David Noel pt. 2
  4. A 7'1 concrete column placed in the middle of the lane would be more productive then Hibbert. If he couldn't stay on the court in college, he isn't going to last long in the NBA.
  5. I look at the draft this way. Getting Alexander would be like your parents getting you a Ford Taurus for your 16th, nice car, dependable but is what it is. Getting Mayo or Beasley would be like them rolling up with a new Mustang. While it is flashy and exciting there is just as much a chance that it is totaled at some point.
  6. Brandon Marshall's take out Or "Gaze of the Orton" "Kyle Orton's Beard" http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/268356e29d908c904a8f4bf4dfca0a658710e67.jpg or "A night with Kyle Orton" http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/dd0254b97e86f4c8461d118517188c371007b07.jpg
  7. If I choked someone every time I got cussed and yelled at my hands would still be cramped. Heck I had a boss when I worked for the city that if she wasnt swearing at you then you knew you were in trouble, add too the fact I was have been in construction for the last 10 yrs, being sworn at or swearing at people is considered the norm. That one year spent at an engineering firm was kinda awkward at first though. It took awhile to break the habit of using the 7 deadly words as common verbs/nouns/adjectives etc.
  8. could Prince hasve looked any more pathetic this series? Maybe he thought he would take the series off to even out Chipper Larry.
  9. ok I will play, in order for the brewers to trade him they would require a Edison Volquez MLB ready type pitcher plus either a MLB player or high ceiling minor leaguers.
  10. He will sign. Essentially the way the Brewers look at is he gets to play against good competition without it costing the Brewers a dime.
  11. I wouldn't expect Cappy back till mid year at best. Even with that said it takes about a year after returning to baseball to return to form after TJ surgery. How long it takes after a second one is even harder to predict.
  12. A little bit of Yost would die if Kapler were sent down and he was claimed by some other team.
  13. If you are going there I would have gone with "Real sports nut, huh" "Their little footballs"
  14. well then you could go with something Miami like "Jason Taylor's Tango" "Ignored by Parcells" or you could go with some kind of obscure pop culture reference like "Warrick Dunns fancy cats"
  15. I get paid well to basically sit here and read Brewerfan all day. This year I may have done about 6 hours of what I actually got hired for which is why they are transitioning me to another title. While it sounds great to basically sit here and do nothing, it gets old really fast and you run out of things to read about.
  16. Isnt Dave Bush pretty much on par with what Maddux has done this year?

  19. There are two problems that Charter is facing, they are about $20 billion in debt and their system is almost maxed out. In order to add channels they have to shuffle the service to get them to fit in. As to the debt, this may be one of the reasons that the BTN may be hard for them to add, they are in no position to take on any financial risks. Even if they add the BTN dont hold your breath that you will get the HD channel or the over flow channels.
  20. add another "3TO" day to his resume.
  21. Definitely not the case. Trenni was on the radio yesterday morning with Doug and Wickett, and she said he is definitely not a leader or go to guy any more. His mood is much more somber than what it was (with good reason mind you). I should clarify, there is a difference between being a cheerleader and a leader. While Billy may be more somber and not happy, that doesn't get in the way of his excitement that he shows towards his team mates when they do something good.
  22. The night that he tied the game in the bottom of the ninth, Billy was the first one out of the dugout. Billy seems to be the biggest cheerleader on the team no matter how he feels.
  23. This one is easy, the evil twin has the goatee.
  24. I dont think this would be the best way to approach Prince with in terms of an extension. I know some made the point TIC but I know I would be turned off if they came to me with "You can sign this extension and your problems will go away."
  25. Anyone who does not cheer Stairs, I hate you. How can you not love Matt Stairs.
