  1. F.A. struck out again, thats unpossible. Well at least he didn't spike himself.
  2. Please tell us what he is doing wrong? Again you can only lead the horse to water, you cant make it drink. The hitting coach is the appendix of the coaching world.
  3. Seriously, there are no kids in the stands that want to play?
  4. How Brewers of them Why not try bunting, at least there is less chance of a DP there, to clarify I am 50/50 kidding and serious.
  5. according to Jim Powell.
  6. Well I am 6'1 250 and if I stood next to him you would notice more then a 20lb difference.
  7. But what those teams have are players that get productive outs rather then K's
  8. He is out funding and supporting his son's fantastic band and working on his sons interviewing skills.
  9. While he may or may not have gained alot of weight, one this is for sure is that he is flabbier that he was back then. Where he was a bigger but still put together guy a few years ago, he is getting into the sloppy fat range. As for his batting, it is getting to the point that it resembles when a pitcher comes up in a rally for me. I see that Prince is coming up and I pretty much assume a K or a grounder to the first baseman. To be fair, I am starting to feel that way for Braun or for that matter any player on this team except for ironically Parra.
  10. I would settle for a team of ballers and for Angel Salome to be alittle bit taller. **Sadly the great pull by Doug will be lost on those under 25**
  11. BA is fine when he sticks just to PBP or when he is setting up Bill. When he starts getting into knowledge of the game is where he is over his head. The one thing that always bothered me and Sutton was that he alwasy talked in hyperbole(i think that is the right word), especially when he would relate his conversations about conversations with players and coaches. It was a like a Kevin Smith film in terms of it would make me think "who talks like that?".
  12. There is weight gain and that is obvious. The biggest effect that the weight gain has on him is his balance. Look at him as he bats, look how uncomfratable he is in swinging the bat, how many more times he falls over the plate or on his face like he did in the Pirates season. There is not going to be any statisticle evidence that shows what weight gain can do but as someone who put on 50lbs in 3 years after getting married and noticed a significant drop off in balance and power while playing baseball/softball and golf, I can tell you that it has a major effect on your swing. The inverse is also true, David Duval after winning the Brittish Open lost something like 50lbs and ever since then has struggled to adjust to not having the weight there.
  13. Watch the Packer game first with Brewers mixed in. Its Monday Night Football, with a commercial break at pretty much every break in the action you should still be able to see 75% of the Brewer game.
  14. Yeah they stopped making mention of that because they felt that people would think that Big Bird was crazy/on drugs.
  15. Isn't Lou just being dropped from the 40 man. He was sceduled to be part of the taxi squad for the AFL. I would imagine that he will except his minor league contract. I could be way off base here though.
  16. Yeah I don't think the OKC Bombers would be appropriate.
  17. Some word of advice, when a pitcher is out there walking people left and right, feel free to take some pitches..cough Braun, Fielder cough. Speaking of Fielder, if Melvin doesn't insist that Fielder lose 25-40lbs in the off season I will be highly disappointed. You are either blind or in denile if you think that he is the same size that he was as a rookie. The added weight is really effecting his fielding and hitting. His balance is way off when he swings( I was there the night he feel flat on his face swinging).
  18. Just curious, but what does Warriors have to do with Native Americans. It is just a generic term for someone who is a fighter, soldier etc.
  19. I can see this effecting people who go to alot of games. For me and I would imagine alot on here, that is half of the reason I go to the games is to get a brat/hot dog, nachos etc.
  20. Even though I haven't swung at a upper level fastball since college ball 10 years ago I fully believe I could go out there and give them just as good of at bats at Billy Hall.
  21. Bill Hall. I never thought that seeing Craig Counsel in the lineup would be so desirable.
  22. It is most likely you know this team is better then they are playing. Its frustrating to see a team with so much potential go out and spit the bit. Alot of people like me have been following this team forever(25 years of my 30) and have seen a ton of losing and now that we have a good team its again frustrating to see them let opprotunities slip away, especiallywhen they are products of they're own mistakes. Not to keep going with the child refferences but we all have heard the old favorite "this hurts me more then it hurts you". People boo because they care so much. In case you are wondering I don't boo I just curse the name of any given player on that day Bush, Fielder, Suppan(shudders) etc.
  23. Yo has been with the team for awhile now.
  24. That is like saying if you dicipline your kids then you arent a true parent. Kids should have positive reinforcement no matter what they do. Your kid gets expelled from school for fighting, instead of voicing your displeasure you should complement him on his great left hook.
