  1. Yes we all have watched the games. You hate Yost and need to speak it over and over, like many others. We have already talked about this at length. Yost is lucky when it works and we get Yosted all the others. But if we switched pitchers every time there is a jam, the bullpen would be spent by june. I hear this in bars and at the games, and I really believe people with this view don't think about the future and simply have their views set and just want to get upset. Enjoy the game one day and forget about hating Yost and getting angry. The game can be fun to watch and the brewers even lose some games.
  2. Other teams have problems with their pitching as well?
  3. Battle of the bullpens now. Tough day for soup but I always like to think about what if moments, and if a couple plays are made he is still pitching and the damage is not as bad. But there are going to be days like this and offense needs to carry their weight sometimes. Lets get some runs.
  4. I was thinking the same thing. Complaining that Suppan is in or get pissed when McClung comes in. There is no right answer. He got out of this inning but still it is not the rightway of doing it.
  5. I guess Perez sucks as bad as suppan and should be out of the mets rotation. Come on Braun.
  6. If we had a D playing behind him he is out of the inning a long time ago. He hasn't ptiched great but all these extra outs that we give certainly does not help the pitcher at all. He needs to pitch a couple more innings to save some innings from the bullpen.
  7. Our pitching has been really good. A starter having a bad outing is going to happen and its going to happen to sheets, yo, villy, and every other starter. How about the bats wake up a bit and score some runs. We are going to give up runs and we have been very spoiled so far this year I think. But our D is certainly not helping any pitcher.
  8. Umm it was a double steal. Players don't call those, managers do. There is no sense talking to you. You haven't got a clue. Third base is stolen on runners instinct and the other runner follows when he sees him go. But you live in your Yost hating world.
  9. I dont know why you are always the one to blame yost? If you knew anything you would know that very very rarely a manager calls a double steal. Braun went on his own. Just find a new excuse please.
  10. As bad as our offense has been the last 5 days, it could be as bad as the tigers. They have a great lineup and simpy can't hit anything. They are getting no hit thru 6 now by Gavin Floyd. So I think it has been 5 games and we have faced some good pitching. I always think that you can get in a rut and every pitcher looks great when you start to struggle. We will break out soon.
  11. I think facing Santana may be just what we need. Alot of this game is mental and we seem to have a bunch of players who swing up and down mentally. Maybe having a great pitcher on the hill will get the boys dialed in a bit more. Should be a good one.
  12. What good would that do against a switch hitting Beltran?
  13. Live outside of the world of hindsight 20-20. It's an easy world to live in and fans who do this always have the right answer.
  14. Ok as was pointed out before. If Yost does this we will have a pitcher warming up starting the 5th every game if two hits and 70 pitches is the key to getting someone ready. I watched the game as well and was not looking for the bullpen to come into the game. The 6th was a ground out, ground out, BB and a K so I don't know how you saw that as reason to get someone ready. I am totatlly baffled and confused as to how this is even an argument.
  15. Little chance of him pitching the 7th with a two hitter and a low pitch count. If someone warms up with these stats, we will have someone warming up starting the 5th every game. This is exactly what I was talking about when I say Yost can do nothing right. That is a bad example of what should of been done and that should be clear but I guess not.
  16. I know you were around last year so if you look back (or remember) there are certainly times that people complained that Yost warmed guys up for no reason. Mainly Wise, who didn't have the best of arms on back to back days. So when we lose, Yost bashers do use both of these and either way they are correct. I really can't believe there is a debate over yesterday. Villy had 70 pitches through 6 and was on a 2 hitter. The argument of having someone warming up is just not there. They got ready after the bomb and that is exactly when they should of.
  17. Thanks for telling me what I should do. I'm not packing it in but right now I don't want these guys batting. If all you're going to do is whine about my posts then do us all a favor and put me on ignore. I am not the one whining. I am talking to someone who only does whine. Over and over and over. And over. Always someone to blame. You can just lose without it being someones fault.
  18. You should just give up on the year if that is really the case because alot hinges on how these guys do this year. If you are already feeling like that it would be better to save yourself the time and just pack it in.
  19. The world may not end but the team is terrible and complete garbage.
  20. O so now after a couple hits we know, that they know, how to hit Villy. Hilarious! And what does this have to do with Yost? Doesn't that have to do with Villy, knowing what they are thinking and then changing his thinking? This gets better every game in here.
  21. Nah, he is getting coffee. What game was he watching this afternoon? It was pretty clear that Carlos was tiring last inning. Hmm, bullpen? Nope...no one warming at the start of the inning. This is funny. If that is the case Villy should be out of the lineup. Two hits and 70 pitches and he should of been out. Now this is complete nonsense.
  22. Things all users of brewerfan should know. Ned is always at fault even though Villy was crusing along. Why would he have someone warming up?? Also, if this was Bush or another pitcher people didnt want in the rotaion, they would be saying, why is he in the rotation and please get rid of this guy. But its Villy so all is well and its Neds fault of he is asleep or some other nonsense.
  23. You can do whatever you want but that must make watching the game awful. Don't walk guys, don't make errors, dont swing at that pitch, why did he throw the ball away, etc... You can say all of them but it doesn't mean anything because I think they are trying but sometimes it just doesnt work out.
  24. This is a quote that implies little expereience with playing the game. Please realize our two best hitters looked that silly. We are facing a top notch starter throwing cutter and a slider over 90. It's simply not that easy. If it were, I think they would choose not to swing at those pitches. But no matter what level you played, this is much, much tougher and complaining about this is not the way to go. I am not trying to fight here but this is just the easiest way to complain just to complain. None of this post makes sense. Just because a fan doesn't play ML baseball doesn't mean they can't comment on it. These players are professionals, as professionals they are expected to have some plate discipline. If you're going to criticize every post like this, you're going to be busy on this site. Saying that a guy shouldn't swing at a pitch isn't saying much of anything. Our two best hitters swung at bad pitches. Some times the pitcher makes good pitches and is simply good. I guess when Sheets is amazing, the other team just shouldn't swing at the bad pitches. But they swing because it you have no time to react and it looks good at some point. Commenting on things like that is going to make you very busy seeing it happens many times every game. Saying they are expected to have plate discipline is one thing and having it is another. The best hitters in the game swing at bad pitches every game. Some just do it less than others.
