  1. At least were getting plenty of hits. If the pitching continues to be good, it's just a matter of time before this equals more runs and some more winning. While you get upset at LOB, at least were hitting. Better than games with 5 or less hits and no opportunities to score.
  2. I agree Ender. All the Yost talk is just funny to listen to but it does little to make the players hit or pitch better. He did little early on when JJ was unreal, Coco was untouchable, and Estrada was hitting. Now prince is the only one hitting and Yost is to blame. He is doing the same thing he did all year long and now the players are pitching worse and we are not scoring enough runs. When we start hitting and pitching again, probably against lower teams, this will quiet down. Until then, it is a way to vent. But you rarely hear a bench hardy or hall like you do counsell and graffy. All of them have performed poorly recently but the old vets take most of the beating. Fact is, almost everyone has had a down time and is the cause for the struggles. Changing the man who fills out the lineup card is not going to make them all hit again. Time is the only chance at a cure and we all hope the the team turns those numbers around.
  3. I took small issue with sitting Braun. Our offense is struggling and he needs to be in there. I also took issue with Gross as our DH again. He is awful right now and should not see the field for awhile. I would rather see Mench or Gwynn as the DH. Lastly, I took issue with not pinch hitting in the 9th for either Counsell or Graffy just to mix it up and try to get something going. We were only down 4 and basically just gave up. Please put Hart back at leadoff until Weeks is back and healthy. Well Braun was hurt and probably needed a day off yesterday. As for the DH spot. Who else do we have? I know Gwynn is always the answer but he is really not as good as people would like to believe. The lineup is what it is now without Weeks in it. But alot of guys are struggling right now so this only has more people upset and the lineup is more of an issue. I don't think it really mattered who was in there last night with that nasty stuff Verlander was throwing. We just need JJ and Hall to get going here. Graffy and Counsell are what they are. But we need to get 6 hitters going at the same time.
  4. while it is clear that we didn't put out the best 9 hitters possible Who would be? Braun was out with a wrist injury and Weeks is still on the DL. Mench?Gwynn? Not much of an upgrade really. I don't really remember a brewers team ever changing lineups as often as Ned does this year. I really wish he would keep something and run with it. I am kinda done with this argument. Anyone who has played ball please answer this. If we have a lineup with JJ, Prince, and Braun somewhere in the 2-5 range and then just throw everyone else in the lineup, does it really matter. You go to the plate to hit and there are very few AB's where you are asked to do something like a bunt or a hit and run. Especially the way we have been hitting lately, there are few opportunities to do so. So who cares what the lineup is and where people are hitting. And for those who say we have hit rock bottom. Obviously you have just moved here and need to find a new hobby. Because there are going to be much worse games and things that happen to this team than last night. The first Coco blown save was much worse if you ask me.
  5. We still got a tough week ahead of us, and this team is gonna have to work really hard to return to Milwaukee with a record of .500 or better. They would have to lose all the remaining games of the trip to go under .500. I guess you are not quite an optimist for the crew. Sorry to hear that.
  6. The way JJ is swinging I would walk whomever is in front of him as well. CC and Graffy are raking.
  7. I thought Gwynn was fast. That was not exactly hit hard up the middle.
  8. It was a pretty good play. Dive to his left, got his feet, and threw a dart to prince. About a 8.7 out of 10.
  9. I thought some were asking for spurling to come in for some of the tough spots not to long ago. He stinks! But I remember the calls for him during some of the other relievers struggles.
  10. How close were the ball on which hitter?
  11. You know there are plenty of people on here that almost like when the brewers win. Its in everyone of their posts and even when we are winning they will talk badly. I don't get it but its what we got.
  12. What has bush done? He has given up two runs tonight and after a bad first has looked pretty darn good. This is a pretty good outing. Just like any pitcher he has had his good and bad outings and for a 4th starter he has done alright. Our problems right now have to do with hitting more than anything. And maybe a two out hit may help.
  13. He really got that one! 2-0 right down the middle and it hit the grass half way up in center. The announcers said that Prince knows what to do with a pitch like that.
  14. I have no idea why a brewer fan needs to continously make fun of their own players. Over and over and over. We know. They are not that good. But they do some good things. Heck JJ, Weeks, and Hall should be on that list with their hitting lately. Heck even JJ's D has been bad.
  15. I guess its safe to say that Ned is to blame no matter what happens. Can this guy do anything right?
  16. Lets all calm down a bit. We tried to give everyones guy a chance and he walked a guy. Now we go with our 8th inning guy. No fuss needed.
  17. Funny how a big game can change minds very quickly seeing he has been kinda shaky in there the last week.
  18. He has been good but he has really been bad with runners on the last week. Look at the numbers and the K's and DP balls have killed us. But he does have his good games here and there.
  19. I find it funny many players seem to have .300 and even .400 BA's, yet no one hardly ever scores. I am glad someone else noticed this. While I haven't watched any of the games, I do catch the scores from time to time. Always 17 k's and 1 hit or a no hitter, or blah blah. But I guess it comes down to this. There are fewer elite players and teams in women's sports and these same teams that get to the world series every year beat up on other teams all year. Then when the good teams get together its basically a games of scoring on errors and the few hits that occur. Not very exciting if you ask me. It would be nice to have a 10-8 game sometime instead of the 2-0 game on 3 hits.
