    But what do I know?

Almost better here "giving up" to get Cordero back on the mound. Just hate to have him sitting in that dugout too much longer....

Pretty nice - seems to be a few less Cubs shirts behind home plate this inning......don't tell me some of these lovable Cub fans leave early??! As long as they left with their wallets empty, have a save drive down I-94. And remember, don't speed - your wallet's already empty!
  4. MoneyballMan
Cordero is the MAN! Too bad he can't pitch 3 innings every night, huh??
  5. MoneyballMan
You're right, Peavey. You're always smarter than everyone else here. My apologies for not bowing to your superior baseball knowledge.
  6. MoneyballMan
Yeah, nevermind that Turnbow put two of the three runners there Maybe Yost should just stick with the formula that has worked so well - Turnbow gets the 8th, Cordero the 9th. What's so difficult about that? Turnbow is obviously more comfortable coming in to start an inning.
  7. MoneyballMan
It's usually hard to tell what the Cubs fans are more excited about - the game or the fact that we actually have urinals at Miller Park (versus troughs at Wrigley).
  8. MoneyballMan
Ok, one more please. Save Yost's ass.
  9. MoneyballMan
No fuss needed I'm starting to fuss..... DAMN IT, YOST! Come one, DP RIGHT NOW!
  10. MoneyballMan
I sure hope Yost didn't screw this up again. If you have a formula that works (i.e. Turnbow starting an inning), GO WITH IT!

Man, Braun is just crushing the ball. What a solid base hit.
  12. MoneyballMan
Just realized that Braun could still win rookie of the year, couldn't he? I was just hoping for solid help at 3B, but he's sure impressive so far.
  13. MoneyballMan
Yikes, Hart has some cojones, huh? Not necessarily too smart there.
  14. MoneyballMan
I agree that CV DESERVES the first start available, but he's almost pitching too well out of the pen. I would imagine it would be very tempting for DM/Yost to bring up Gallardo rather than mess with CV and the stellar job he's doing. May not be fair to CV, but may be the best thing for the team in the short term.

Man, I was hoping to watch the TiVo's episode of The Sopranos from Sunday night, but with Vargas starting, this game has really dragged along, hasn't it?
  16. MoneyballMan
And is it just me, or did the Cubs pitchers get more borderline (or flat out bad) calls in the 6th inning than Vargas got the entire game? Absolutely
  17. MoneyballMan
DId he throw any pitches above the knees in that whole inning?
  18. MoneyballMan
Graffy probably had to swing that that pitch since it would have probably been called a strike anyhow the way he's calling those low pitches.
  19. MoneyballMan
Imagine where we'd be without CV out of the bullpen this year. He may just be the most valuable pitcher - even with Coco doing his thing.
  20. MoneyballMan
NICE PITCH, CV! Claudio, were you watching that??
  21. MoneyballMan
No kidding - did you see that? 8 straight pitches between 87 and 89 mph. Were they just begging him to hit one out?
  22. MoneyballMan
    @#%$
  23. MoneyballMan
    Quite the at bat.
  24. MoneyballMan
    Ok, maybe not.
  25. MoneyballMan
Ok, let's hold it together for two more outs, Mr. Vargas.
