  1. If Yost really called Jenkins the "best left fielder in the NL", why the hell isn't he playing every day? Just seems like a moronic statement to make and then sit him down every other day.
  2. Sure seems like a wilder game than 1-1 at this point! Maybe it's the LOB by us, huh?
  3. Now Jenks needs to make them pay!!
  4. At least they're still only down 1-0.
  5. No way we're going to win the game (or any game) like that. That's just horrible. You have to get at least one run home there.
  6. DAMN. Just have to get Estrada lower in the freakin' order.
  7. If that had been Zambrano, he probably would have taken a swing at Barrett for missing that foul ball!! Although Marquis didn't exactly looked thrilled either!!
  8. Man, I'd love for Fielder just to crush one right here.
  9. "You gotta wonder if Lou had been in the dugout if he would have charged out there on that play." Yeah, and then the Cubs fans would have littered the field with trash....
  10. "Brewers game on High Def" always makes me wish I had Directv again instead of this crappy Charter cable.
  11. Ok, let's hope that was Bush's one "blow up" inning. One run not too bad.
  12. Hearing those damn Cubs fans drives me nuts.
  13. YES! Nice pitch by Bush there to Lee!!
  14. Nice start - was that a first-pitch single?
  15. I agree, Augie. Every game is important, but I think this series does take on greater importance than usual for a series this early in the year. I believe the Cubs still represent our most likely challenger this year, so it wouldn't be good to give them reason to begin an upswing by losing a series to them. And looking at it the other way, if we could sweep them ....
  16. I just have this feeling that the Crew is ready for one of those laughers - where they win 14-2 or something. Haven't seen one in a while (that I can recall). Plus, that would just be priceless to witness with all of those moron Cub fans in the stands. Keep the garbage away from them - they may flood the field with it! Ah, those lovable, cute Cubbie fans.....
  17. Yeah, it's not a real good sign when you've lost 6 in a row and your "ace" goes out and gives up a 3-spot in the first.
  18. They must be late for their flight! Sure going down quickly here in the 9th!!!
  19. rluzinski - I think you're right. The team's ability is somewhere in between the start we saw and these last 16 games. I think there would have been slight agreement starting the season that they were a 83-87 win team and that it would probably be enough to contend for the Central. The start really teased us into 100-win scenarios, when in fact they're not that good (even just the youth should highlight that 100 wins is probably just not going to happen). And now this stretch of 16 games will tend to make people think they're as bad as many of the past 25 years. But the reality is there's too much talent on this team (even if they're young) to really stink things up the whole year (ala 70 wins or something). Things will even out (hopefully) and we'll hang on to win the central (even with 85 wins) and then take our chances in the playoffs. The real point is to continue being patient. We've all been patient for 25 years, but if we can hold on to these young players, we should REALLY be good over the next few years as they mature. In the meantime, enjoy baseball for baseball and try to keep things on an even keep emotionally (which I know personally is tough with the last two weeks!).
  20. Thanks for taking care of Mr. 77.
  21. With numbers like Heath Bell has, how the heck can he be 0-2? Wow.
  22. WOW! DId you see the rack on that spectator right behind the guy that got pluncked with that foul ball?! I may have to get back out to San Diego soon!!
  23. Is it me, or does Ryan Braun remind you of a cartoon character? I just can't think of the right one..... Beavis or Butthead maybe? Just has that cartoon look.
