9/04/05 Padres (Peavy) vs. Brewers (Davis) 1:05 PM
MoneyballMan replied to brewers19's topic in Archived Game Threads
It's supposed to be on FSN, but directv and dish screwed up last night as well. These are two games that were added to the schedule, but both of them are morons and don't have it on. Someone on here was successful calling Directv last night and it was on by the 3rd or 4th inning. I've never had any luck talking to those DMV workers. -

Well, great. Same as last night - no FSN on Directv. Who had success calling in last night? Need your help again!!! -
Up and running on Directv - just in time to see the calamity that is Wes Obermueller..... perfect...
-
Here we go......too good to be true that Obie might give us 5 or 6 strong innings, wasn't it?
-
casey, it probably means that the Directv logo and music is on! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I'm sure we'll probably get to see the 9th or something. Hopefully they get it figured out for tomorrow's game!!
-
Ok, casey, I'm rooting for you now!
-
Honks, you didn't get disconnected, he hung up on you. Been there, done that. They're about as helpful as a McDonald's or DMV worker.
-
Ok, Honks - good luck on getting it turned on for us!!!
-
Bases loaded and one out and all we get it one run across? Not a great sign for the rest of the evening with Obie on the mound.....
-
Listed in the Urinal Sentinel this morning and www.milwaukeebrewers.com indicates FSN.
-
Would someone reach Directv and right them a new.....
-
Good luck getting in touch with anyone from Directv that will give a *hoot* or be able to do anything about it. Is *hoot* acceptable language?
-
This sucks. And it's impossible to ever get through to those morons at Directv. Lodge a complaint about the game not being on and they'll fix it 3 hours after the game ends.
-
The game is supposed to be on FSN this evening, correct? Anyone else have Direct TV and not receiving the telecast?
-
Good call, naivin
-
Wow, did Hardy crush that one! This would be a fun win.
-
OH MY! MR. HARDY!!
-
Oops. That's pure rookie power hitter against one of the best closers of all time. Not a great match-up for us, huh?
-
Come on PRINCE!
-
Naivin makes a good point.... Helling, to Davis, to Capellan isn't exactly playoff caliber pitching line, is it? It probably is not very surprising that it equals 6+ runs!
-
And on a positive note, the Pack takes the lead. Now if we can just ask every team we play this year to only play their 2nd and 3rd string players, we may be ok. Ok, that's completely off-topic, but I couldn't help myself since Hoffman's going to close out this game for save #428.
-
It probably is only hope. Maddox is like the doctors in the Six Million Dollar Man....."I can rebuild him"....... so Yost/Melvin will let him go to work on another project. (And I'm not at all knocking Maddox's wizardry, but don't think it's going to work on every pitcher....)
-
Wouldn't surprise me to see Davis DFA's outta town. This is his second chance through the Milw org and I think he's proven that he could be a really solid minor league pitcher. Let's not waste any more time with him.
-
But, Hoffy, you weren't alone - I thought the game was unfolding very well. Great outing by Helling, Eveland in at the right time, get to Turnbow to close it out. Guess we'll just have to rely on that great offense again! Although, this does give Prince another chance to save the day....
-
Hoffy, care to retract your last post? Yikes....... Yost WAS orchestrating the bullpen very well....right up until Greene hit the ball out! I kind of liked Eveland finishing out the 8th to get to Turnbow.
