Brewers will be 2nd to last in team ERA in the NL after tonight, ahead of only the Florida Marlins. I'm willing to bet we have the worst bullpen ERA in the NL as well. Something needs to happen with the pitching staff, and sooner rather than later.
5.12 ERA and the tendency to give up the gopher ball don't really strike me as qualities of a good pitcher. Bush's fastball is average, and he has a very good curveball but he hangs it too often. He's a OK #5. Terrible may have been exaggerating, but he's no better than average at best.
Under .500 again after getting to 15-11, not good. Mets coming for the weekend, also not good with how we've pitched. The thought of Dave Bush hanging curve balls to Delgado, Beltran, and Wright makes me shiver. Need to get back on track now.
It's just a prediction rluz. Not everything is based on probability/stats. I'm going by what we've done on this road trip paired with who we're facing on the mound. Not to mention with a 5 run deficit we're going to be swinging for the fences.
How the Brewers are swinging the bats on this road trip, this game pretty much is over. Sheets needs to get back ASAP and stay healthy. Otherwise the holes in our rotation are going to kill us.
1-5 road trip coming up. When your rotation doesn't stay healthy it makes it really hard to play consistent baseball. Brewers have been really really really bad on the road this year. Has to change if they wan to improve on last year.
It really isn't going to matter. Bonds will not play in enough games or stay healthy enough this year to hit another 44 HR. He's going to have to bring his gimpy butt back for one more year if he really wants Hank's record. Frankly, I hope he stays at home.
