  1. Yost Is A Moron Why Not Go To Shouse-y here? With Five Straight Lefties?
  2. Bill Pay Attention Brian already said that Cards playing Astros
  3. Bush is lucky as Hell everything getting hit Need more runs right now
  4. Twenty two pitches For the Sloth man from Goonies Knock him out early
  5. Open Corona Add lime and take a few swigs Goes well with Braun bomb
  6. Bamboozle Sloth Curve And Avoid Those Booby Traps Like Goonies, Crew Wins
  7. I have nothing really against any of the Cubs players per se. I hate them because: 1. They are a huge rival 2. They have EASILY the most ignorant, arrogant, and disrespectful fans I've ever come across
  8. I'd rather face Philly than NY in a series given the starting rotations, so I'm hoping for a Philly sweep.
  9. Just get out with a split. Then the Cards have to finish with 4 more wins than us the last 28 games playing a tougher schedule.
  10. If it's this season, I'll easily take E. Bears will score maybe 10 points all season. I'd have to check and see if we play by the end of Sept though.
  11. LF: Braun CF: Hart RF: Gamel
  12. Yucky lineup tonight. Ben is going to need to be good.
  13. My guess is Durham/Hardy/Kapler/Fielder/Hart/Counsell/Cameron/Kendall/Sheets.
  14. Sit him through the rest of the homestand. That gives him 7 days rest and gets him back for the Cardinals series. And yes, if Braun is seriously re-injured then it is a failure by the medical staff. He should have not been back into the lineup until he was 100% healthy without any shadow of a doubt. Combine this with Yost putting CC in with a 7 run lead and over 100 pitches already, and you have idiocy abound right now in the dugout.
  15. I don't know how ANYONE can side with Yost in this scenario. The only reason to trot CC out for the 9th last night was so that he could get a complete game. There is no other reason. When you have a 7 run lead and your pitcher is already over 100 pitches, you go to the pen; especially considering the pen is underworked overall as is. I was pissed as hell last night when they trotted him back out there for the 9th. Add to the fact that the training staff very likely let Braun back too soon, and it's just a combination of idiocy in the dugout for the Brewers. Yeah, lets make uneducated decisions on no question our two best players....
  16. Agreed on the postseason. It's not like the NFL or NBA, where homecourt/homefield is a dominant predictor in who wins the game. It's much easier to get hot and make a run in MLB postseason than any other postseason, by far.
  17. The Braves only have a 1.5% chance of the playoffs today, so I don't really see how you can equate hoping the Cardinals lose to the Cubs with hoping the Braves lose to the Cubs. Cardinals going into the Cubs series had an over 30% playoff shot. I guess I see both arguments, but in the end, making the playoffs overall is my #1 concern, playoff positioning after that is secondary.
  18. Assuming Braun's injury is not serious, I very much like the position we are in right now, and we are playing good baseball for the year as a whole. However, I'm going to wait until a playoff berth is clinched before I get overly excited or even cocky about this team. We're in a great position as of today. I don't think it's hard to see why many fans act they way they do, with very, very, very guarded optimism. Whether history has any relevance or no relevance, diehard fans are still going to reference it emotionally, it's something that cannot be controlled and is just part of human nature.
  19. Washington is a very bad team, and we have our top 3 going. No reason that three of four shouldn't be expected. San Diego is horrible and we have Sheets and Sabathia in a pitcher's park. Two of three should be expected. 5-2 or better next 7 should be expected.
  20. Volquez is just the guy I want the Brewers to see when they are mired in a terrible offensive slump.
  21. Just another example of this team faltering due to overall lack of leadership, in my opinion. Last year we had the Braves and Cardinal series blowups, led by the manager, his blowups and horrible decisions, this year it's a dugout fight. I will not be shocked at all if this team just has a horrible last 50 games.
  22. Is it safe to assume that if Fielder is still on the team throughout the end of next season, Gamel is playing either 3B or RF? It would obviously depend on whether or not we pick up Cameron's option. If we do not, I could see Hart moving to CF and putting Gamel in RF, and going with: Weeks Hardy Braun Fielder Hart Gamel Hall Kendall Either way, I'd like to get one of the extremely low OBP, high K guys between Cameron/Hall out of the everyday lineup and get a higher OBP guy near the bottom of the order. Not that I'm thinking Gamel will bat .340 in the majors, but he should be able to get on base at a better clip than either of those guys, while having near comparable power.
