  1. Reverse mojo for the win.....
  2. Well, this definitely isn't a playoff team, maybe 85 wins. Sad but true.

  4. Last I checked, there is no rule that allows you to stockpile runs to use in future games.
  5. We're on pace to start 16-10, last year we started 24-10, or are you just talking about our record after 13 games?
  6. We are sitting at game 14 tonight, and Fielder, Weeks, Hardy, Hall, and Braun are all batting .222 or worse. We're batting .244 as a team. Only the Astros and Giants have a worse OBP as a team. But I guess the most concerning thing at this point is team-wide lack of plate discipline across the board. Swinging early in the count without taking any pitches, trying to pull everything, etc. I know it's early, but to have this many players struggling this badly to me is very concerning. The lack of being able to hit mediocre RH pitchers is also concerning. So are you worried yet? Or chalk it up to early season struggles?
  7. Just something else to point out, I know Gross is a lefty bat, but overall career splits also favor Kapler (and Kapler is 32, it's not like he's 36 where one would expect a huge dropoff): Gross: .241/.339/.403/.742 Kapler: .272/.332/.424/.755 Nothing earth shattering as far as differences go, but you could easily argue Kapler as the better overall hitter, and IMO he is better defensively.
  8. Bush to long relief, McClung released as far as Gallardo coming back. Cameron coming back is tougher. If Gross is really struggling and Kapler is still playing well, I think you might have to keep Kapler. I know the sample size nazis will come out on this one, but even if Kapler does regress to the mean, how much difference is there between he and Gross anyway? I tend to think Kapler is a little better defensively as well.
  9. Man, the Brewers have killed Looper. Need to do it again, probably need to score 6+ with Bush on the hill. Hopefully this is Bush's last start in a Brewer uniform.
  10. I would say this pisses me off, but I only get the Bucks game tonight anyway. Wouldn't mind having a day game Monday to listen to during work.
  11. You're way overanalyzing people's comments whynotthebrewers. Just relax.
  12. Don't know if this is sarcasm or not, but how does a guy with .290-.300 average and mid 20's HR power suck?
  13. Yeah, the only way it really makes sense is if Hart can bunt for a hit, because if he gets out it will still take a hit to score Hall (assuming the pitcher can't do anything which is a safe assumption).
  14. This is a quote that implies little expereience with playing the game. Please realize our two best hitters looked that silly. We are facing a top notch starter throwing cutter and a slider over 90. It's simply not that easy. If it were, I think they would choose not to swing at those pitches. But no matter what level you played, this is much, much tougher and complaining about this is not the way to go. I am not trying to fight here but this is just the easiest way to complain just to complain. None of this post makes sense. Just because a fan doesn't play ML baseball doesn't mean they can't comment on it. These players are professionals, as professionals they are expected to have some plate discipline. If you're going to criticize every post like this, you're going to be busy on this site.
  15. I really wish Weeks would start hitting the ball.
  16. You made me one of these? Thanks! http://www.bocaburger.com/product_meatless/images/2_3.gif Yummers! Are males even legally allowed to eat those? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. All I have to say is, if the Brewers don't practice plate discipline tonight, it's going to be a very long game for Brewer fans. Please make this guy throw strikes before you starting swinging at everything.
  18. So no way to watch the game if you're in Madison? I'm not very happy about that.

  20. I think that's way too generous. If he's under 4.00 ERA, I'll be happy, that should lead to a pretty solid record.
  21. Gross will probably start tomorrow agaisnt the righty.
