  1. Davis couldnt even get through 5 innings in Washington when we scored 10 runs in the first inning. Davis is just not a good pitcher.
  2. If we do fire Macha I would prefer that we give the job to Sveum and not Randolph. I dont like the fact that Sveum is a small ball manager but at least the players like him. Randolph showed with his time with the Mets that he is completely inept. Randolph is also the one responsible for defense which has been awful while Sveum has overseen a good offense. Of course I have made it clear who I want to see as the Brewers manager but Melvin wont do what is right.
  3. You forgot about Wolf who makes way too much money to be taken out of the rotation. It would be great if Wolf could go on some sort of run so we could dump his contract.
  4. The Brewers cannot be held hostage by Trevor Hoffman. The idea that Hoffman should have to tell the team that he is done is preposterous. As for comparing this to the Griffey situation I say the situations are completely different because Griffey is a hero in Seattle while Hoffman means nothing to the Brewers as he has only been here a little more than a year. This situation is a microcosm of what is wrong with this organization.
  5. This is what will happen next; Hoffman will be told he is not the closer "for now". The team will then have 3 mop up relievers who they are afraid to pitch in close games (Suppan, Vargas, Hoffman). We will essentially have a staff with 3 useless relievers because this management refuses to cut a veteran. Hoffman will have one or two clean innings when we are up or down by 10 runs and he will be named the closer again and will blow one or two more games. This management is just too stubborn to cut bait. What exactly do we owe Hoffman, its not like he saved most of his games with us. This is a great example why this organization is "stuck in neutral".
  6. You're nuts! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Im so angry right now.
  7. Macha and Hoffman both need to go. There was absolutely no reason to take out Estrada.
  8. Something has to be done about this. Every starter the Brewers have cant ever seem to throw less than 20 pitches in an inning. When Gallardo first came up he was a real strike thrower but even he has regressed the last two years in regards to throwing strikes.
  9. Macha got lucky because leaving Parra in to face Phillips when he is clearly tiring was stupid.
  10. I cant explain why Jack Z hasnt done well so far. I hated the Figgins signing and didnt understand why he would go into the season thinking that the Mariners lineup would be anything other than awful. Just goes to show that you never know what you are hiring as a first time GM until they are on the job.
  11. If Parra didnt get squeezed the first batter would have struck out and we would be out of the inning.
