  1. So for his good deal of getting Sexson...Melvin returned the honors of getting a morgue of stiffs. Taylor was not terrible but a little below average....
  2. Face it, Yost had no one up in the pen and needed an excuse since Gags was on the verge of blowing the largest shutout in Milwaukee history. If the Pirates win, Ned would've been filing for unemployment this AM.
  3. Problem is Braun has never played 3rd his whole career in college where as RicK has been a hack in college and not moved. Jack Z is what stirs the stick for the Brewers when it comes to it's farm system and scouting. Melvin is the hack that decided not to call up a LH bat for the Boston series with a DH needed or moved Prince there. He decided to visit Nashville to "scout" to see if he could improve the team. I don't think it would've take too much to have called up Nelson to play first for Prince in Boston since the 3 starters that were RH pitchers were named in advance. The Melvinites can keep making excuses for Doug but when do they run out after the Brewers miss the playoffs again this year?
  4. I suppose the DH never happens in the World Series. Sheesh. Those AL teams that have lost the World Series should protest for having their pitchers hit. Anyhow, face it, Doug Melvin had the schedule right in front of his nose, plenty of time in advance to decide what to do. He should've had Iribarren up for ric"K" along with with Nelson. Deficiencies in management lead to deficiencies in the clubhouse. Like Braun said, we don't expect to win and that starts at the top.
  5. Unreal. I am so sick of this team. How can we win if we have a management basically giving up a spot in the lineup but since it was "only" 3 games...they don't care. If there was a board of directors like the Packers have there is no way Sherman nor Yost last one game....
  6. I am still wondering why he did not call up Nelson. At least it would've been a defensive improvement today anyhow. Melvin is lost.
  7. 3 straight road sweeps and now Ned is happy how we swung the bats. Did he watch the whiffs today or Prince gagging? How about Prince's D? Yet, he pulls Braun last year? How about DHing Fielder and bringing up Nelson? Man that would've made no sense?
  8. I wanted Ned gone two years ago and was fried on this forum for it. He is the nice guy equivalent to Mike Sherman. Please, when will this trainwreck end?
  9. Maybe that is the problem. Ned and Doug have a naked cardboard cut out of Mark?
  10. They may have had an advantage but how hard is it to call up Nelson or LaPorta? I know Melvin must have an answer so the Dillon's and Gwynn's don't. Did he forget when he called Prince up?
  11. Jack Z whom Taylor hired not Melvin? The assumption is could. The Brewers could've went to the World Series last year also but they didn't.
  12. So is a sensible decision batting Cameron second? IMO that proves how incompetent he is. Why not even put Gwynn in? 3 guys batting .200 or below. If you can't fire the players, you get rid of the GM and/or coach. Let's put this in perspective, if a corporation had 3 underachievers, and the boss continually put them in the positions to fail? Who gets removed?
  13. So then is it the GM's fault? You surely can't trade all the players. It's time management re-evaluates how it handles things. Hernan should be playing second and Nelson should've been called up for the series. Melvin and Yost shouldn't be allowed to run a 7 11.
  14. 1. And I think every Cub owns him. 2. Right on that one. Gwynn right now is better than Cameron in what the Brewers need at the plate. 3. Eveland would be the Brewers best starter right now. 4. IMO, worst trade of any team last year. Who knows about draft picks...We could have anything... 5. Amen.
  15. Eveland is what? The guy is pitching great for Oakland right now. The Melvin blinders are working admirably. If you look at the trade for Sexson, he called De La Rosa and Moeller the key players. If those were the key players, can anyone please tell me how good Melvin is at "scouting"?
  16. Why was Iribarren moved anyhow? Who cares about Crabbe when the Hurricaine didn't get more AB's in Milwaukee. Weeks is Ned's Wes Helms.
  17. And 3 one and dones...what a great GM with a unlimited bank payroll.
  18. And Gallardo attempted to pitch with a torn ACL. Sheets won't pitch with an insect bite to his calf muscle. Sheesh.
  19. Wouldn't want last year's ROY P-I-E to be sent down. Is he hitting his weight yet? Corey Patterson #2?
  20. Good point. Melvin already took the sheep to San Diego last year and brought us back LeinStink. Maddux might cost us LaPorta and Gamel.
