  1. Move over Chipper, here's Matt Gamel. Please, please do not trade this man.
  2. What is exactly the thrill of Greinke to be valued so high. His WHIP is decent, does not have high SO numbers, and he's had his teammate issues. Why would we be willing to give up the farm for the guy?
  3. Going out of bounds? Arguing that people say Inman's ceiling is not very high is what kind of defense? That is calling Inman a scrub, no? But those same people still argue that Bush is a good pitcher. The guy was drafted in the top 100 picks out of high school. What gets old is the consistent defending of Melvin on that trade and the same lame argument that we got two picks in return, no?
  4. Then quit using "the people say quote". People also said Greg Maddux doesn't have a high ceiling and Jake Peavy. People also say aliens exist. That schtick is getting old.
  5. So I take it you loved the Lew Alcindor deal? John Hadl? Gary Sheffield? Greg Vaughn? Matt Hasselback? I bet the Vikings never have thoughts about Herschel Walker or the Tigers Doyle Alexander? I do follow the Brewers. What pitching depth do the Brewers have at AA right now that are better than those two? Beeeeeepppp....No one...I will even go as far to those at AAA. Inman was highly ranked in a farm system and Garrison was also a decent ranked prospect. Back to the original post. I always thought Boone was a good player and wanted him years ago when he was with Cincy.
  6. If they only would've traded for Bill Hall. When was the Sheets no hitter bid in the 9th vs the Angels Escobar?
  7. If we are going to say the jury is out until "these players" turn into something, we could be doing this until 2030. Then we might as well argue Doug blew resigning Linebrink because we could use him now instead of Mota, Gags, Turnbow, Tavarez...and any more reclamation projects we sign. Anyhow, looking at the trade so far, it is a fleecing.
  8. Are you telling me places like Tiger stadium and Fenway are pitcher friendly? I don't see the point of what the parks have anything to do with what you are arguing...
  9. So was Ozzie Smith, but Ozzie was a complete hack at the plate. Your point? Braun had moved from a number of positions so far is his career and already had put up better offensive hitting numbers than Yount could ever dream of.
  10. Why is this a negative? The guy is young and is pitching decent in AA ball. I guess I am lost on this one?
  11. Anyone know where to find the Piggly Wiggly recipe from Wednesday's afternoon game? It was a steak stuffed with cheese and portabella mushrooms. I looked on the site but I don't know what to look under. Thanks.
  12. Braun you stink. Your career OBP is higher than Milwaukee's only lifetime player HOF robin yount.
  13. No way Jeffress is involve with the Brewers lack of pitching depth in the minors.
  14. And he was dealing last night. The Brewers need to make a move soon if they want to catch the Cubs.
  15. Bowden would want the farm. Cincy got fleeced in the deal two years ago for BP help so he's not exactly "cheap". Melvin has made two horrific trades with Zona and the Pads in his last two deals.
  16. The problem is the money he has spent elsewhere. Giving the jack he did to a one year wonder in Turnbow was horrific and been a trainwreck. Gag was a terrible move especially after he imploded for Boston. And having another free swinger in the lineup with Cameron is not what the Brewers needed but a high OBP kind of player.
  17. The Brewers can't score against BP's so what is the value of Dillon?
  18. Why don't we throw in Gags, Mota, and Turnbow and hope they bite?
  19. BTW...here's that scrub Inman's stats. 5 solid starts in a row. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=William+Inman&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=488989
  20. Neither has Gamel nor LaPorta so what's your point? And since you brought that up, wouldn't it have been wiser to have resigned Linebrink than have the crap he has in the bullpen at 16million bucks in RH wash ups such as Turnblow, Gags, and Einie Minnie Mota?
  21. The one run thread ticks me off because the Brewers hung over after pissing away leads...tonight...another pisser awayer against a scrub team. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  22. We're going to have to wait about four years to discuss this one. Why should we wait, Inman is pitching in the futures game and Linebrink caughed up the game the other night against the Cubs? The two draft picks were reaches and the one is older than Garrison and Inman.
  23. If we are giving Melvin the credit for this statement, we might as well credit the parents, his teachers, and high school coaches. Again, Jack Z put these guys together. Melvin pissed away 20 million this year on washed up talent.
  24. What's your definition of decent? The guy was struggling when the Brewers got him last year. Hopefully, we won't see another horrible trade again like that one.
  25. I wouldn't worry about it. Melvin is one of the best GM's in baseball and has gone on the record saying some of his prospects are untouchable so it won't happen. If we get Sabathia, it will be at the right price. How is Melvin one of the best GM's?
