  1. That sure seems like a lot of work to put together the cardboard cutout. I don't think these guys are up to the task. I'm sure these guys can battle one together in no time.
  2. I am not watching one more game on (on TV, I have no choice with my ticket package), until Ned Yost gets fired. I can't remember the last time the Journal Sentinel made me so angry. The quotes and mindset of this manager are... I have no words. Its mind-blowing how incompetent this dude is.
  3. What an all time awful game for Mr. Hall. How will he ever be able to out do this one?
  4. True, but 5-3 feels a little final to me for some reason.
  5. Good to see Bill Hall's fielding start to equal his hitting. Oh wait... its not good to see, because they both suck! Puke on this game.
  6. I know how some here don't value batting average, but how can a team have THREE regular position players under .200 and win?!? It doesn't seem possible.
  7. I am very, very glad I am in the proven wrong group. And Ned seems to have answered the call the past few days. I will lay off until the next 6 game losing streak, if it happens (and I hope NOT).
  8. Nice shot of Gagne draped over Kendall's shoulder... WHEW!
  9. Nice spin igor. Boo to tying run on base. Gagne probably would have had Jones if the high fastball was a little lower.
  10. LOL!!! About time the Brewers get to laugh at another team! I love 2-out, 2-rbi singles!!! When was the last time that has happened to this team?!?
  11. How many has he grounded into this year? Zero.
  12. Yosted! Nice sqeeze attempt. Too bad Kendall didnt know the sign. Wonder if this will come up on the post game.
  13. Yes, I think there is some overreaction going on. Thank you for putting some perspective on the season thus far. I may now be able to enjoy going to the game tomorrow. Getting 3 of 4 from the Cards will go a long way in helping me forget this last horrific week.
  14. Shouldn't guys like Cameron and Suppan and Kendall and even Kapler be the guys stepping up and leading? Shouldn't guys who get paid to lead step up and lead? Just saying.
  15. This has seemed like a no-brainer to me for over a year now. Its just another example of Ned being stubborn and wanting his ideas to work, even if they never will.
  16. He's getting pretty close to Lachemann for me. And as bad as Lopes was, Yost can definitely see him on the horizon. I don't think the gap is that wide anymore, imo.
  17. I've seen enough of this game already. Time to turn off the TV and enjoy life.
  18. My prediction: Marlins complete the sweep, final score 7-2, Brewers scratch out 3 hits with two being solo HRs (one by Braun, one by Hall), Florida pitchers record 12 Ks, Brewer pitchers walk 7, Ned leaves Villy in during the Marlins 6th which starts BB-2B-HR-HR-BB, Ned pinch hits with Gwynn in the 7th with the bases loaded and two out. I think I have seen this game before, so again I am thankful I have plans tonight.
  19. The only thing Yost appears to be good at are the type of intangibles which might help with the psyche of his players, IMO. I have heard this from others as well. Do we really know he is good at the intangibles and directing player psyches? Cause if he is not at least great in this area, I don't see how keeping him around is helping this team. And from my seat, he doesn't appear to be great in this area. But then again, I am not in the clubhouse witnessing the speeches and one on ones. I can only believe the players have tuned him out, IMO.
  20. I've thought about this myself. One of my thoughts is that maybe Yost just cannot gameplan and/or adjust the gameplan based on the opposing managers gameplan. Another thought is maybe the players just don't like Yost and can't stand the sight of him anymore. Could this contribute to poor player performances? I think so. When I really think about a time when I didn't understand where my manager/boss was coming from, my performance may have suffered (being uninspired to do well) due to that person. Imagining Ned Yost as an unlikable character is not a stretch for me. Then again, that thought is probably biased, because I just don't like Yost and can't stand the sight of him anymore. Free the Brewers!! Get a bleeping win!
  21. Or maybe they just need a better leader.
  22. A Yost press conference and a Piniella press conference are vastly different. Piniella is frustrated because he's pissed off about something or at someone. Yost looks frustrated because he also looks scared, all the time. Those two guys are two different kinds of frustrated. I was going to reply, but then read jazzytrav's post. Pretty much what my response would sound like. You can't even compare the two. One has angry, directed frustration. The other has scared, unguided frustration. Could you imagine Yost having to deal with the Chicago media? The only reason he hasn't completely cracked is because the Milwaukee media panders to him. I stand pat that Ned will not have this team over .500 again this year.
  23. My 9 pack hasn't even started yet!!!
