  1. Maybe the game will be called due to rain! Tim
  2. Wow...what a stupid comment by Caray? I wasn't paying much attention. On Obie and the Brewers: "They're hoping he gets some valuable experience from this as he's pencilled in the starting rotation next year." Another homer... Tim
  3. Capuano was our best starter for the early parts of the second half, but yeah Davis is probably pitching the best lately. Santos pitched a nice game last time out after struggling quite a bit, so maybe he would get the nod. Who knows? They're all having their issues right now. All three pitchers were doing really well and then the run support just dried up (like I have to tell anyone that), and now Davis looks to be more consistent than the rest. I'm hoping we can squeeze one win out of this series against Maddux. Tim
  4. Grand Slam for Lee. 7-0...this game is over. Tim
  5. Wes Obermueller warming up? Interesting... Tim
  6. Patterson HBP...is it just me or is Doug Davis the only pitcher doing anything well as of late? We'll see if that holds true tomorrow, too. Tim
  7. In other news, Wayne Franklin gave up 7 ERs in the 1st inning (only 2 outs recorded, Damion Easley and AJ Burnett!)after the rain delay was over! Tim
  8. That, and he'll be here next year. I'm with you, but it's pathetic how poorly these two fellas have hit this season. And neither of them is a defensive genius, either, certainly not in the same category as other bad-hitting catchers like Henry Blanco or Brad Ausmus. I don't care which way they go next season, but I hope they either get a masher or a defensive whiz behind the plate. If we can't afford a complete catcher, at least get someone who excels at one side of the game. I still think Mark Johnson would be better than Bennett or Moeller, especially if used in a platoon situation where he could just hit righties. I agree, if either of them could just excel in one area, we would be better off. Maybe next year Johnson will get a shot and Bennett will be gone, we can only hope. Moeller is solid defensively and like you said, will be here next year. An average of .265+ for Moeller and a lot better OBP and OPS would be fantastic. Let's hope he can improve come the start of next season. Tim
  9. Bill, yeah that's pretty bad. The only reason I really like Chad Moeller is because I think he's an upgrade defensively to Bennett. Tim
  10. Ouch, Podsednik caught stealing 3rd! Tim
  11. Good job getting on base, Scott...let's steal 2nd. Tim
  12. Meanwhile Matt Kinney pulled his best imitation of himself on the Brewers...getting lit up for the Royals. Tim
  13. Is it just me, or is Doug Davis the only pitcher (starter or reliever) that has looked good lately?? Maybe we can throw Dave Burba in there, too. Tim
  14. Still in the 9th - man on 1st and 2nd one out with Chad Moeller up. Let's get something going, or is that too much to ask? Tim
  15. Nice double by Ben Grieve! Tim
  16. So why don't Bill and Darren start talking about No-Hitters like they would if it was a Brewer pitching? C'mon Darren and Bill, jinx it!!! Who was the last Cub to throw a no-no? Who was the last to throw one at Wrigley? LOL! You called it! Clark just singled in Jenkins, too. Is it just me, or is Brady Clark the only guy actually doing anything as of late? Tim
  17. Ben Sheets ERA officially over 3.00. (Now 3.13) . Tim
  18. Zambrano no-hitting us through 5. Tim
  19. Alou doubles in Lee, Cubs lead 1-0. Sheets hasn't looked good at all lately. Tim
  20. I like this lineup, but when healthly, sometimes Grieve instead of Clark. I agree that Clark should be batting 2nd. He's been getting on base a lot lately. Tim
  21. Bernie Brewer and Billy the Marlin all in one place...it can't get any better than that. Tim
  22. RoCo - Only Adams on my end! Tim
