  1. I've also heard good things about the zoo.
  2. I swear this has got to be some sort of record for the number of mop-up pitchers used in a game.
  3. I seem to recall that it was very poorly received (i.e., torches, pitchforks) the last time something like that was attempted.
  4. Wow, I didn't think that we'd actually be able to strike anyone out tonight.
  5. I challenge you to find a fan of any team who wouldn't be upset about having a pitcher with an 8.68 ERA still having a spot in their rotation, not to mention sucking up $12.75 million of the payroll in the process.
  6. What are the odds that Suppan comes down with another 'injury' in the very near future?
  7. It can also elevate your chances of dying.
  8. I'm sorry, but this is absolutely terrible advice. They'd be better off just asking all the guests to email them all the snapshots they took with their point-and-shoots, because it'll be on par with the quality that they'll get from someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Granted, if the couple couldn't give two craps about photos of them and their wedding, then skimp away; but otherwise, photography is one of the last places that one should look to save money with a wedding. A DSLR doesn't make someone a good photographer, and taking pictures of a wedding doesn't make someone a wedding photographer. Wedding photography is not for the faint-of-heart or the inexperienced, and that's why professionals cost [and are worth] a lot of money.
  9. How things have changed in five years...
  10. What is this supposed to even mean? And for what it's worth, no animal is too old to train.
  11. See, that's what I initially thought too. But when I discussed it with Big Reed, he thought it was woefully terse. So I decided to meet him halfway.
  12. Please stop making these posts. I know that using actual words to convey one's thoughts is often an incredibly exhausting and frivolous activity, so I simply ask that everyone dig deep and find the strength to construct fully-formed words and coherent statements. Quotations are to be used as reference points for subsequent posts and discussion, not as surrogate opinions. If you're not interested in or capable of putting forth the effort to come up with something other than "I agree" (or some equivalent thereof), then you'll undoubtedly be pleased to know that not posting anything at all requires even less effort on your part. Also, I preemptively appreciate the ironic humor in signaling one's agreement with me by posting "+1", so there's no need to actually do it.
  13. I, personally, am still holding out for the shark tank.
  14. I just saw the worst collection of previews ever: Legion, 2012, Twilight, Saw 6, The Wolfman, Did You Hear About The Morgans?, and It's Complicated - not a single redeeming one in the bunch. And what's with the weird obsession with vampires all of a sudden?
  15. Not if Comeback Player of the Year Award has anything to say about it.
  16. What? Mayor Daley doing something that's in direct opposition to the general opinion of his constituents? Unheard of. http://chicagoist.com/attachments/Marcus%20Gilmer/2009_04_13_Meigs.jpg
  17. Assuming Suppan even makes it that far into the game.
  18. I have the same expression of disbelief on my face, but mine's in response to the fact that there were apparently hundreds (thouands?) of people who cared enough to attend some sort of rally for the event.
  19. I'm slightly disturbed by how well Narveson is pitching.
  20. You've made the chip on your shoulder pretty clear by this point and the horse is thoroughly beaten. Now stop spamming the thread or it's getting locked.
  21. House started to lose me halfway through last season, and there were things in this episode that were just unforgivable. It's pretty much jumped the shark for me. Spoiler [+] House rapping? Horrible. Just horrible.
  22. Can't possibly leave out How I Met Your Mother.
  23. That's not evidence. It's just a random collection of events that you've grouped together to form a non sequitur.
