  1. A Schwarber and Domingo Santana outfield would make for the hardest working center fielder ever.
  2. Is Counsell aware that he didn't put Bryse Wilson in the game just now?
  3. The brutal 17 game+day stretch coming up is reason enough not to push the starters.
  4. Low risk, low cost, high ceiling. Smart move.
  5. Still trying to figure out how this is fine (or at least accepted), but the waiver trade month was a problem. Seems that was way healthier than a last day of month waiver free-for-all in which teams on the fringe of the race with one month to go get dibs over those who played better than them to this point.
  6. HOBY MILNER Where would we be without him and Wilson? Not just today, all season.
  7. Hey hey, it's yet another Menard's Big Inning!
  8. Hey hey, it's another Menard's Big Inning!
  9. For sure. Andrews and Small are both acceptable. Lauer would work as well. There's three better lefty options.
  10. This inning is due to CC. If CC retires, CC is the obvious pick for manager to replace CC.
  11. BA gets his job back every single time he stops announcing darts and foosball tournaments and decides to show up to the ballpark.
  12. Someone breezing through high-A for someone struggling in AAA. I'll take it.
  13. Perfect summary. They could have at least milked it until tomorrow to try for a more exciting pickup, which was pretty much all of them.
  14. Never really came back to form after the injury last year. Got to be a prelude to some additions to the 40.
  15. "Back spasms" Going a little more mainstream than "right forearm inflammation" with this one
  16. All about the bats. Hopefully Arnold avoids the Stearns "make a trade for the sake of making a trade" where the bullpen sometimes added worse pieces at the deadline. Justin Wilson will be our lefty reliever added to the roster. Throwing well on rehab assignment in Nashville.
  17. With his kids out of school, wouldn't be surprised if he took a year or two off to refresh and showed up when there's an open gig in someplace warm like Vegas (if they become willing to spend after relo) or Houston.
  18. The playoff win and his tendency to give up the big inning will always be how I remember Dave Bush.
  19. Just here: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/35165812/mariners-acquire-2b-kolten-wong-brewers
  20. Ok trade. The money used to pick up the Wong option and turn it into Winker to acquire a DH is better than bringing in another McCutchen type overpriced free agent. Toro is depth with low risk. Door now officially opened for Turang. Still, not a big, necessary move, so interesting that they're noting the possibility that Winker could be flipped.
  21. I haven't even been able to re-watch any Game of Thrones since the last season was so bad it gave me no desire to see any of it. Heard good things about House of the Dragon and decided to give it a try. It's very good. Not sure how much momentum it can keep and not feel like rehashing the same stuff over and over again, but so far it's enjoyable. Daemon and the Sea Snake were awesome characters in the book, and they're also the two best in the show so far.
  22. Ruiz has a 17 game hitting streak, and Gasser just pitched himself up to AAA. Not a bad infusion of talent.
