  1. In addition to the returnees, it's time to look at Leonard and Lara, and Jett and Pratt are coming on strong lately. OBPs below .260 with no power isn't going to cut it, and we're carrying four of them. Lockridge and Hamilton also have no power, but they're at least getting on base.
  2. Plus Priester, if he can find the zone in his rehab. Crow's spot start was great. And take away the one bad start and Kuehner has been awesome and is tracking to find his way onto the roster. Going to have to carve out bullpen roles for a couple of these guys.
  3. Had to look up one that came to mind. Brad Nelson in 2009 came up, went 0-21 with 9Ks and was DFA'd. Only managed to accumulate -0.4 WAR though. Jones managing to out-bad him by the bad defense I imagine.
  4. Jones getting the Seigler "why does this guy keep getting playing time?" treatment.
  5. Heck of a time to put him in. And to get squeezed on his first pitch. Nice movement while still being in the zone.
  6. I know there was some room for bad hitting but I thought he'd be shipped out by now for the terrible defense. Now a terrible challenge. Chourio can't replace him soon enough.
  7. Fitzpatrick deserves the call-up, hope he does well in the big leagues. Left forearm tightness doesn't sound like a Phantom IL thing for Zerpa. Hope it's rest-solved and not a major thing (UCL problem).
  8. 8 runs in on: 6 singles, 1 double, 1 walk, 2 errors (one catcher interference).
  9. Quick and clean inning for Drohan. Our bullpen could use some of that.
  10. I decided to go outside for a bit and cut some branches out of the tree so it might be me.
  11. Better line for Priester today, though still only 18 of 45 pitches for strikes.
  12. Was good with giving him a look, but I'm now ready for Lara. We're not in a position to carry another Seigler in hopes he figures it out up here.
  13. Another one of those games where just not getting no hit is our closest thing to victory.
  14. This frees up a 40-man spot vs. optioning Jones or Perkins. Another move coming in a couple days perhaps? Lara would be the big one. Jett is slumping again but is still going to happen eventually. Or one of the two BP arms that have yet to be scored on and are getting more than 1K/IP?
  15. Many missed opportunities but if you do manage to tag Skubal for 4 ER, give up fewer than 4 runs.
  16. Then don't check how Priester's rehab start went.
  17. Yoho's on his rehab assignment in case anyone was wondering when we're likely to replace the human victory cigar.
  18. Oooof. Also had to check that Perkins is still on the roster, since he didn't make it into the Sundayest lineup ever.
  19. What a gem! If Woodford can't go two with a 4 run lead, I question his roster spot.
  20. He seems to be feeling good. If we had a good and rested bullpen maybe you keep the wear off.
  21. 96 from Woody. A couple starts go, I thought he was done or in need of a lengthy ramp/rehab. I was very wrong.
