  1. rob wooten being a "go to" option isn't something I want to see for much longer. Is henderson getting close?
  2. Exactly. He's exceedingly mediocre, but all you hear is how absolutely terrible he is. His ERA is just over 3. His FIP is 4 1/2. He's certainly not good, but he's not 'terrible' either. He's below replacement level and has a K/BB rate of 1.63. That is terrible for a short inning reliever. Before the deadline we definitely need to get a shut down Righty to compliment smith. Kintzler/ wooten are not shut down caliber by any means
  3. To me, the big flaw is that he has exactly 4 hits vs LHP. His numbers wouldn't be nearly as good if he played every day. Not saying he's not valuable......just that his numbers look better than they should because he's shielded somewhat from his weakness. Very true. I still think he could hit lefties however I get the platoon right now it's working very well
  4. I was wondering why scooter wasn't on the all star ballot. I wrote him in he is currently one of the top 2-3 2b's in the NL IMO
  5. davis has lived up to my expectations which I realize are usually way too high. He's quickly moving up my favorites list
  6. hopefully ron doesn't say "the defense lost it" and keep throwing marco out there
  7. Nope. It will be in another 3-4 weeks if he's not hitting. Slumps happen. Bad luck happens. He's somewhere inbetween that. He'll figure out his zone and start smacking hits again. Too good not to. I just wish I had that faith. Watching him all these years he's never looked like this
  8. if they score three an inning, estrada should be able to give them 5 or 6 innings
  9. I'm going with 4. Brewers win 11-8 in a slugfest that finally pushes estrada out of the rotation.
  10. I know people from wisconsin are drunks, but I have to wonder if the cardinals fans are all constantly drunk on pabst or natty ice. You usually don't see that much anger or racism unless there is a lot of cheap alcohol involved.
  11. my thought when i watched lucroy's video was "we'll never hear the end of this" ... and lucroy knew that. Every one in the league knows they're tools. Their fans hate every team that dare try to win games.
  12. meh. Still not worried about the pirates. Most of their young pitching is hurt. The reds have the best team IMO but never seem to get on a roll. The cardinals are on a roll and will soon roll us into 2nd place.
  13. we do need to rip braun more it worked last night
  14. how do i hate thee marco estada... let me count the ways
  15. the pirates are .500 now and the cardinals seem to be figuring out how to get clutch hits.... we're definitely going to have to keep winning series to stay in first like we have been the past couple weeks.
