  1. Jonathan Lucroy, Brewers: 588,710 Rickie Weeks, Brewers: 642,184 That's all kinds of wrong.
  2. He's been an All Star once in eleven seasons. Once. He's never lead the league in HR, RBI or SLG. He's never been in the top 20 in MVP. He's never won a silver slugger, or a gold glove. In 5,598 AB's, he's struck out 1,903 times. By the end of the season, he may approach 300 K's for 2012. If he plays until he's 38 (5 more seasons), and averages 30 HR a year, that will put him over 500 HR. If he averages 180 K's a season for those 5 years, he's at nearly 3,000 strikeouts. He's a one trick pony. He hits home runs, and that's all he does. Dunn has never been an elite player, and has never been close to being an elite player. If you look at the Hall of Fame statistics listed on his baseball reference page, he's far off from consideration. Hall Of Fame Statistics Player rank in (·) Black Ink Batting - 4 (423), Average HOFer ≈ 27 Gray Ink Batting - 83 (289), Average HOFer ≈ 144 Hall of Fame Monitor Batting - 59 (328), Likely HOFer ≈ 100 Hall of Fame Standards Batting - 28 (371), Average HOFer ≈ 50 In my opinion, he has no chance at the Hall of Fame, nor should he. He's a modern day Dave Kingman without the pesky home run titles. Kingman was on the BBWAA ballot for one season. He got 0.7% of the vote, and dropped off.
  3. So wait, you blew your top, and the stadium personnel are to blame? I'm sorry you had some difficulty, but you are in the wrong. Did you expect the lines not to be long 15 minutes before game time? Maybe show up a little earlier next time, and you won't be rushed, or lose your cool.
  4. When his career OBP is .350, no, a .298 OBP is not at all impressive. He's not being paid $10 mil a year to walk. He's supposed to be an impact hitter, and the only thing he's impacting is the team's strikeout totals. He only struck out once today, that was my bad. It's still 72 in 202 at bats. If he did anything the times he wasn't striking out, that could be almost acceptable. Adam Dunn is hitting .226, and has struck out a whopping 96 times in 212 AB's. But he also has 20 HR and 46 RBI. Weeks is hitting .158 with a .287 slugging. His .585 OPS is laughable. He hit .132 in May, and he's batting .091 the last seven days. How much longer is Roenicke going to let him flounder? I hate having to be so negative about him, but enough is enough. He's not improving. It's time for him to go down.
  5. RicKKKie with 3 more whiffs today. 74 K in 205 AB. BENCH HIM ALREADY!
  6. Taylor Green is starting to hit, and find his power strike. Look out. The kid is starting to light it up!
  7. What the heck is the matter with him? His batting average is dropping like a rock.
  8. What the heck is wrong with Ryan Braun? Down to .303. He's slumping badly. If he's not healthy, Roenicke needs to sit his you know what for a while to get better.
  9. I punched an icemaker when I was in high school, then broke it again in college hitting a wooden dummy before sparring. To this day, I have a nice bump on top of my right hand. I'm assuming this is the "boxer" fracture everybody is referring to. It still hurts some 20 years later....well, aches sometimes.
  10. How many more injuries can this team take? This is like the Packers, players dropping left and right.
  11. What the heck is wrong with Braun? 2 for his last 18. Average has dropped like a rock, from .331 to .309, in the last week.
  12. I think he has a very good chance to be a .300 hitter with more power. People are understating Green's potential. The guy can hit, and given consistent playing time, we'll see it. Scooter Gennett is a much better comparison to Loretta.
  13. Exactly. "The 'stache has never dated Kate Upton". Just because I haven't, doesn't mean I'm not capable. I am up to the challenge!
  14. Two singles and two walks call for an automatic pull? If every manager did this their bullpen would be gassed by July. When Greinke's already given up four runs, and has thrown nearly 70 pitches in two innings pitched? Absolutely.
  15. An insurance run for the Dbacks. We really needed to pull Greinke. He started off the third single, single, walk, walk. When you allow the first four guys to get on, and walk a run in, it's time to come out. No reason whatsoever, none, why he should have still been in to give up the three run home run.
  16. Well, to be fair, Grace did say "you think the Arizona fans are going to vote for a guy that knocked the Diamondbacks out of the playoffs last year?" Braun almost single handedly beat the 'backs. The AZ fans are bitter.
  17. It was really close. Man, I just don't know if I could have made that call if I were the ump. Tie goes to the runner, doesn't it?
  18. Well, no retaliation hit batter seems to support the consensus, that the hit of Upton wasn't intentional.
  19. Braun has hit a mini slump. 2 for his last 15. Average down from .333 to .315.
