  1. Did I fall asleep for a few months or something? Are we in the playoffs? Because usually in game decisions this stupid don't happen until the post season.
  2. I swear to God, I'm starting to think we have Rain Man as a manager. "Yeah, definitely gotta use K-Rod in the ninth inning. Ya, K-Rod, 29 saves. K-Rod, All Star closer. Uh oh. Of course, he's going up against three right handers. Murphy with a deep drive to right. 333 career saves with a 2.69 ERA. Yeah. Here comes David Wright. Captain America. Definitely trouble. Uh Oh, Wright singles. 2-1 Brewers. Gotta get somebody up in the pen. Gotta get Duda out. Oh no!!!! Ahhhhhh! Ahhhhhh! /hits head against dugout wall. Ahhhhh! Duda with a two run homer. Gotta get Kintzler in there. Don't burn the baby. Hot water. K Rod has got us in hot water."
  3. We struck out 13 times tonight. We were 0-6 with RISP. We left 9 runners on base. And Gallardo's masterful performance gets completely wasted. Sigh.
  4. LOL L Schafer struck out bunting foul. C Gomez struck out swinging. R Weeks struck out swinging. That's pretty sad.
  5. Gomez strikes out. Did his helmet come off? Did he screw himself into the ground going for a home run? Now Weeks. In other words, ballgame.
  6. Jesus, Schafer? Really? We have 3 outs to get a run, and a guy hitting .190 is our first hitter. Come on guys, tie it up.
  7. Hello, win column!!!!! Best record in the National League. Well done, gentlemen!
  8. Ryan Braun's 12 game hitting streak: 18 for 47 (.383 AVG), 7 runs scored, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, 11 RBI. Slash line of .431/.702/1.133 Not bad at all.
  9. I think that one a few minutes ago might count as two. That's some serious pull power that he displayed. Nine home runs by the Brewers in what will be three games when this one is over.
  10. I have Lucroy, Braun and Krush Davis all going tonight on my fantasy team. Some serious power on display.
  11. Sorry for the double post. I think Braun is feeling better!
  12. Brauny with an 11 game hitting streak on the line.
  13. 6-0 lead, very nice. 13 games over .500 is looking good right now.
  14. I think his power decline is most definitely due to a combination of injuries. He came into the season with the thumb being an issue, but it didn't seem to be affecting his power too much early on. In his first 18 games, he had 6 home runs, including a 3 home run and a 2 home run game. I know he started developing some blisters because he wasn't able to feel how tightly he was gripping the bat, but he was able to deal with it. I think once the abdominal muscle became an issue, that's when his power really started to decrease. Hopefully, that has subsided, and judging from his hitting the last week and a half or so, it may be a thing of the past. He's started pulling the ball to left field with some authority. It's not a stretch to think he could end up with 25 home runs if he stays healthy.
  15. Ok, I'll ask you the same question. I don't hate Roenicke at all, though I sometimes question his management. If the dugout's not telling Braun the hit and run is on, and Rickie Weeks on first is not stealing, what are they telling Braun at the plate? And by the way, Braun was up in the bottom of the eighth. Not the ninth.
  16. So what were the signs from the dugout about then? He wasn't being told there was a hit and run, because Weeks wasn't moving on either pitch. And Weeks wasn't stealing, though he did with Ramirez up. So what other signs might the dugout have been relaying to Braun?
  17. Lucroy, Braun and Anthony Rizzo got me 5 home runs tonight And a walkoff win while the Cards are down by 5 in the ninth. Tonight is a good night And wow, Rizzo is turning into a monster. 25 home runs now, and 5 in the last 4 nights.
  18. I just watched Braun's at bat again. Now, I could absolutely be wrong, but once it got to 3-1, I never got an indication that Braun considered swinging. After the first strike and the second strike, he was staring intently at the dugout. On the 3-1 pitch, he never moved the bat. Same on the final pitch. If he were even considering swinging at either pitch, he'd have at least moved his hands to start his swing. I realize I could be completely wrong. Braun could have made the decision to go for the walk all the way. But given how aggressive Braun has been this season, and given the game being tied in the bottom of the 8th, I was very surprised that he never even considered swinging at a single pitch.
  19. LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Can't have heroics when you're being told to go for the walk. Again, what would make you believe this to be the case? The 3-0 pitch was inside. We know Braun is having trouble with inside pitches so I would assume he decided to take there and it had nothing to do with RR. Braun has been red hot lately, one of the hottest hitters in the Majors. Do you really think that Braun, with a man on first in the bottom of the 8th at home in a 3-3 tie, is going to take six straight pitches, and not swing once, unless he was told to do so? I don't. You're entitled to your opinion, but I don't think there's any way that Braun is taking all the way on his own.
  21. Great, 3-0, and Roenicke has him sit there with the bat on his shoulder. Ya, the former NL MVP swinging couldn't do anything for us, considering he's already homered and singled tonight.
  22. I certainly trust Duke more than I trust Kintzler, yet it seems that in every tight spot, RR sends Kintzler in. And, more times than not, the outcome is not what we were hoping for. Nice AB, Rickie. Come on, Brauny!
